09/08/2025: We visited this restaurant with a local friend, and I must say we were pleasantly surprised: top-quality ingredients and perfect, never boring combinations. The egg and eggplant millefeuille were excellent. We'll definitely be back.

The fried flowers with mozzarella and anchovies are delicious, while the spaghetti with mussels and green beans is flavorful and plentiful. If you're passing through or staying in Policoro, it's definitely a must-try.

11/09/2025: A place with an unbeatable quality-price ratio. Delicious Lucanian appetizer, generous first courses (paccheri and scialatielli were very popular). We only ordered a second course (capicollo with gorgonzola cream, dried figs, and turnips), which was worth three... Desserts from a pastry shop in Marina di Camerota. The wine was bottled for them by a company in Lagonegro. The complete dinner was less than €60, including a bottle of serious red. Great evening. Best regards to the owners, see you next year.

28/08/2025: Delicious pizza 😍 I love the one with creamy potatoes and sausage! Nice place... unfortunately, however, the last time I was there they made us sit outside. We ate and then asked for something else but they made it clear to us in a very unkind way that it wasn't possible as they had to seat other people waiting (a family)... they had probably booked but had forgotten.... We didn't like this behavior at all... in fact, we won't be back again! The only shame is that we liked the pizza... As for the rest, we will definitely find better elsewhere!

02/09/2025: Two truly delightful "light" lunches. We must return in the evening. The marina is in an excellent location. The boat is docked and the restaurant is just steps away. Taranto mussels and Greek salad. Three tasty appetizers: panzanella, octopus, and calamari with mango. Delicious, delicious. And the friendly, enthusiastic, and motivating service. It doesn't hurt. We'll be back at the first opportunity.

09/04/2025: Con i miei amici gastronomi, abbiamo scelto la Locanda dell’Abate a Montescaglioso per un pranzo fuori porta. Siamo stati accolti con grande cordialità, e lo chef e titolare, il signor Giuseppe, ci ha guidati nella scelta dei vini per accompagnare l’esperienza. L’antipasto di mare ci ha conquistati con il tentacolo di polpo arrosto e le seppie cotte nel mezzo limone, sprigionando profumi delicati e un perfetto equilibrio tra tenerezza e acidità. Il legame con il territorio si è fatto sentire con la cipolla in agro. I ravioli di pesce, avvolti in una salsa di pomodoro leggermente acidula, hanno offerto un contrasto raffinato, mentre i gamberoni in crosta sono stati semplicemente eccellenti. L’atmosfera raccolta, grazie ai pochi tavoli in sala, ha reso la conversazione piacevole e conviviale. Concludiamo questa esperienza domenicale con un plauso allo chef Giuseppe per l’ottima organizzazione e la qualità delle portate. Torneremo presto!

20/08/2025: I've been to this restaurant and I must say it was a truly pleasant experience. The welcome was warm and professional, the atmosphere elegant and comfortable, perfect for a dinner as a couple or with friends. The dishes were prepared with great attention to the quality of the ingredients and presentation: each course was tasty, balanced, and beautifully served. The friendly and helpful staff made everything even more enjoyable, attentive without ever being intrusive. Excellent value for money. A place definitely worth trying, and one I'll gladly return to!

20/08/2025: It could have been better; both the fish starters were dry. The fried fish was decent. The dessert (pear covered in Chantilly cream) was very good.

23/08/2025: I'm sorry, but the first impression seems good. The location is strategic, but the service was poor. The main courses arrived after an hour, and mine... I'm still waiting for it. To forget.

14/06/2025: Posto accogliente facilmente accessibile per un pranzo saziante e pieno di varietà al livello di disponibilità dei piatti. Staff ugualmente caloroso e accogliente, creando un’esperienza indimenticabile al livello di qualità, sia per i piatti di mare che di terra. Vale la pena andarci.

30/05/2025: Ritornare è sempre piacevole, la splendida location e l'accoglienza gradevole regalano da subito una bella atmosfera. Abbiamo scelto di pranzare a base di pesce e con stupore abbiamo trovato dei ricci di mare ottimi. Il crudo profumato e di buona qualità ha deliziato il palato. Il primo piatto linguine ai ricci di mare meritava di più, eviterei il contenitore a forma di riccio. Buona la grigliata e la frittura, a parte il pesce spada su cui credo ci sia stato del succo di limone che se pur minimo ha tolto un po' il sapore. Il dessert un ottima conclusione. Consigliatissimo
