Located near the Termoli train station, Il Rosso e il Nero is a restaurant offering traditional Italian cuisine, with a focus on fresh seafood dishes and simple, unseasoned sauces. The atmosphere is inviting and perfect for a relaxing lunch break. The restaurant is well-maintained and the simple decor creates an intimate and pleasant atmosphere, perfect for a break during the day. The service was courteous and prompt, an important aspect for those seeking a hassle-free lunch. The staff was attentive and helpful, without being intrusive. Despite it being a busy time, the wait time between courses was acceptable. The restaurant's atmosphere is quiet and well-maintained, with a welcoming atmosphere that allows you to enjoy lunch in peace. Its location makes the restaurant easily accessible and well-connected. Il Rosso e il Nero's cuisine is undoubtedly its strong point. We chose fresh fish dishes, which were very tasty and well-prepared, though not abundant. The multi-course menu was recommended to us by the owner, Giovanni. The quality of the ingredients is evident, with fresh fish and well-balanced flavors. One aspect to consider is that, instead of serving individual dishes, the dishes were brought on shared trays. This may not be ideal for those who prefer individual portions, especially in a lunch setting where people have varying appetites. The portions, while not generous, are just satisfactory, but may not be enough for those looking for a more substantial lunch. The drinks were up to par, with a good house Falanghina wine in a jug that paired well with the dishes. The desserts served at the end of the meal were a welcome addition, although some would have preferred fruit or ice cream. Coffee and liqueurs were also offered on the menu. However, the price of €45 per person, including raw ham and mini appetizers, doesn't justify the freshness of the ingredients, and the small portions might not satisfy those looking for a more substantial meal. 20/08/2025: I didn't stay overnight, so I can't comment. A nice, traditional, fairly rustic place with a few children's playground equipment in the courtyard, very useful. Very good service, fast and friendly. The only downside is the location; I drove 14km of winding roads to get there. Good, tasty food, decent house wine to accompany the meal.

08/08/2025: We went for dinner. The place is enchanting. The food was excellent, fresh, and we sampled many traditional dishes, all carefully prepared. The staff was very kind and attentive to every request. An excellent experience.

27/08/2025: I was satisfied with everything, we were the administration and the party committee, the food was excellent, the staff were kind and friendly, always available, the room was spectacular and the garden was well kept with a huge swimming pool, I will definitely be back.

24/08/2025: For lunch the day after Ferragosto, there were few people, so the atmosphere was chilly. After a short initial wait to take our order, the service was very efficient. The fried calamari and prawns were delicious!

13/08/2025: Very good food, but the service needs updating: seated outside in the heat despite having booked, we waited two hours and the owner was rude to take our orders (he should learn from his waiter, who tried to save a little). This experience delayed us quite a bit, as we ate only a few items on the menu and lacked any mental flexibility in our organization.

13/08/2025: The service we received didn't live up to the quality of the food, which turned out to be very good. When we ordered, many of the typical appetizers listed on the menu were missing (at 1:15 PM), so we grabbed what was left in the kitchen. I wanted to order a second course later, but the person taking our orders rushed us, telling us to order right away, and he didn't speak very politely. The wait time was unspeakable, having waited almost two hours from ordering to eat the first course.

16/07/2025: This spot is to be avoided at all costs. Their food is mediocre. Their pizza looks good but is soggy. We had gone several times even though it was nothing great because it was ok. But our last visit was beyond disappointing. They served us staggered. My husband's pizza first, then my fish and after about 20 minutes, then they still had not served our daughter. No one had come to check if everything was ok. We had to flag them down to tell them and instead of apologizing they gave this lame justification that we had changed one of the fish dishes to "oven" instead of "grilled". We had also ordered fries that were "forgotten". They then told us with would only be 10 minutes but it turned out to be 30 minutes. Our daughter had to watch us eat. The attitude was patronizing and condescending Quite frankly tis place is to be avoided unless you like eating one by one while watching each other eat. While the Napolitano waiter had promised us a discount due to this unacceptable service.l, the bill was brought to us without a cent of discount. When we approached the owner, his behaviour was despicable. This place is to be avoided at all costs. STAY AWAY!

20/06/2025: Restaurant as per tradition. I must say that we ate meat...good to tell the truth..but everyone ate fish and seemed very satisfied. Also to try the fish. For us a nice 9+! only thing that we had asked for the menu to decide the dessert but it never arrived. Maybe the waitress did not understand our request...that's normal...
