18/01/2026: The atmosphere at Casina nel Parco is wonderful. The staff is impeccable, incredibly helpful and welcoming; they make you feel at home. We often go to this restaurant for dinner on weekends, and we've celebrated the most important moments of our lives. We've always left fond memories of the warm welcome we received, every day like the first time. Highly recommended!

Located on a terrace with a magnificent view in a square not far from the entrance to the old town, it offers a wide selection of indoor and outdoor seating, both for lunch and dinner. The kitchen is open late to meet the needs of its clientele. The menu features traditional dishes, featuring quality local artisanal products. The service staff is attentive and friendly. Unfortunately, we only realized upon our return that we had paid twice for both coffee and dessert: an unpleasant surprise. After reporting the issue, the manager verified the error and refunded the amount incorrectly paid. Thank you!

Too expensive: 1 cacio e pepe first course (mediocre and very small portion compared to the average) + 1 sautéed chicory (inedible because it was full of chili pepper, and the top was red, not green!) + water and coffee = €28. There are MUCH BETTER options in the area.

11/03/2026: I stopped for lunch on my way back from Rome, and I can vouch for the excellent restaurant, very close to the Magliano Sabina highway exit. I ate delicious Roman dishes in an elegant setting, including a truly fabulous lamb stew. The wait staff was extremely friendly and prompt, and the bill was reasonable for the food and service.

21/02/2026: I'm absolutely sorry, but I can't repeat it. The very friendly staff, however, can't make up for the poor quality. Meat is served cold, vegetables are the same, and water is hot.

The first time I went was with a colleague from Poggio Moiano, and I liked both Pino and Anna and the place, simple and welcoming. The cuisine is traditional, made with good ingredients and served with love. I've been coming here ever since. Their daughters Doriana and Silvia and their grandchildren help run the restaurant. The dishes are simple, enjoyable, and balanced, and Pino and Anna's enthusiasm is always the same, despite feeling tired from running the place. Thank you, Pino,

26/12/2025: Always a great experience here at Taverna del Tiranno: I've tried it on several occasions, especially for lunch during short trips out of the Sabine-Rieti area (for example, it's just minutes from Farfa Abbey and many other charming little villages worth visiting). Even during this latest offering—a Christmas lunch with family and relatives—Raniero, his partner, and their team proved to be an excellent team in charge of the dining room and kitchen, demonstrating courtesy, simplicity, friendliness, and that touch of rusticity and refinement that distinguishes them. The Christmas tasting menu was incredibly balanced in flavors and portions, allowing us to fully savor each dish and arrive at the coffee shop feeling happy, satisfied, and not weighed down. Kudos to the selection of local ingredients and the extensive and well-rounded wine cellar, offering local and Italian wines (with a few excursions beyond the Alps), with a special focus on small, artisanal and sustainable producers, including labels that will please natural wine lovers. 03/10/2025: Wonderful location. Quite. Great view. Family owned place and really delicious food. And best part for us that kitchen was open at 6 (even they do “orario continuato”) which is unusual for Italy. And they served the food quite fast, again unusual 😅 Not because that was what we expected but since we’re quite hungry that was great. 10/10
