11/05/2026: A restaurant with a poor quality-price ratio; the quality of the food doesn't reflect the excessively high price tag. The menu offers limited choice and variety; the chef is open to making changes, but without deviating too far from the basic offerings. Regarding the cover charge, I think €3 for lunch on a retro-style Formica table with a paper placemat and two slices of bread isn't in line with other cheaper establishments.

10/04/2026: Excellent gourmet cuisine in the center of Casteggio. The restaurant is easy to find and has plenty of parking. Inside, the atmosphere is warm and intimate, yet not overly formal. There are just a few tables, and guests are served and pampered with the utmost care. Chef Farina personally takes care of presenting the menu to the table, with patience and dedication. Here, you can try traditional dishes revisited and/or presented in a new way, as well as Japanese-inspired fusion dishes, accompanied by the finest Oltrepo wines. I've eaten here at least four times in the last few years and have never been disappointed. Highly recommended! 28/04/2026: Definitely an unpleasant experience. A very beautiful location with an even more beautiful view, but the positives end there. It's worth noting that the place is quite pretentious, and as a result, one might expect a higher-level experience than what one actually got. The service is honestly terrible. The men's wine was served first. The waitress didn't realize that the three appetizers were supposed to come out with the two first courses, so the two diners waited an hour and a half before being able to eat. The dishes are fairly average, but the portions are truly small. One diner had to order an additional main course because the rabbit tuna weighed barely 30g. The wines are good. Last but not least, the bill was decidedly high. I wouldn't recommend it.

19/04/2026: We were guests at this location. Extremely kind and attentive staff. The restaurant has a beautiful view and good food. The tastings offered are unmissable, with highly trained staff, excellent pairings, and top-quality wine.

27/04/2026: The ice cream is good... But compared to last year, they've raised the prices and are serving less. I don't recommend it... you can find better ones at a better price... This way, they'll lose customers...

22/02/2026: A highly refined, light, and easily digestible pizza. A rare find where you can pair your favorite pizza with a local sparkling wine from the Oltrepò area. We've been traveling 30 kilometers to eat their pizza for years.

07/01/2026: Pizza with a frozen base (I saw the pizza chef take a pizza from a pile of pre-made, pre-prepared, frozen bases). No comment. I don't understand how they made such a decision. I've been a customer for years and years, but I don't think I'll be returning. Not recommended.

07/09/2025: This historic venue, furnished in a very pleasing retro style, features a clean atmosphere and friendly, helpful staff. It also has an Art Nouveau-style outdoor veranda.

01/05/2026: Remembering our frequent visits to this pizzeria years ago, when the pizza was excellent and the service was decent, we recently returned, unfortunately, but not with the same satisfaction. In fact, we've been completely disappointed, and never again feel like the beautiful Neapolitans. Especially on busy nights, the wait times for orders and courses are incredibly long, the pizzas are subpar and often not as expected, and the table service is almost nonexistent: only one waiter for three rooms, who, moreover, is as friendly as a case of spastic colitis. Whole tables of uncouth, uncouth people make a racket, shouting, making verbal communication impossible with other customers at nearby tables, and the manager/owner does nothing to calm them down, despite our various protests, etc., etc. When we complained, the owner himself could only arrogantly stammer something along the lines of "we need to be patient" and "there are no more experienced and qualified staff." Conclusion: a highly discouraged place, and one we, at least, will steer clear of in the future.
