06/12/2025: Everything is excellent at this restaurant, the food is exquisite and the waiters are very attentive. I'm lowering it to 3 stars because charging €5 for a soft drink seems excessive, an exaggeration.
30/11/2025: We had lunch yesterday and the food was absolutely amazing. The dish of the day was black pasta with prawns. The starter mixed cheese and charcuterie was very good too not to mention the the panacotta desert! Thks for the experience. Highly recommended.

09/12/2025: The food is average, the bathroom is outside, very cold and small, and the staff is very helpful and friendly. Lunch is available at any time.
01/12/2025: Don’t think this deserves the rate of 4.6 to be honest. And I know after paying where the 4.6 comes from - waiter would bring a QR code to your face and ask you to scan immediately to give a good review.
Food wasn’t bad, but just ordinary. And the wind would bang the plastic walls loudly all the time.

The welcome was very friendly and welcoming, as was the excellent service.
We enjoyed a Tuscan menu, including bruschetta, cured meats, picci, and, of course, ciccia, accompanied by an excellent Tuscan wine.
The setting is quaint, with the added bonus of a fireplace at the back of the room. Highly recommended.
Convenient parking.

02/11/2025: The service and location were good, the dishes in the kitchen could be improved, with more flavour and less spices. The cold cuts appetizer arrived covered in oil from the onions (1) and artichokes (1) placed on top of the cold cuts. For 18 euros I would have expected something better. The bottle of water at 4 euros a litre is definitely not a bargain. It's a shame, it wouldn't take much to be a good place to return to.

For hours at night, there was a loud argument that kept flaring up in the hotel, which the staff failed to resolve despite guest complaints.
Also, due to the literally astronomical price-performance ratio: Never again!

22/11/2025: Terrible service, the staff on the right told me I can only try ONE flavour when I ordered a double scoop cone. She was very rude to me. The other staff on the left let my friends and other customers try two to three flavours. This is unfair and unacceptable. Mind you, I came in winter November when there was no queue at all.

27/10/2025: Disappointed by this restaurant. I chose it based on the good reviews, but compared to everything I've tried in Varenna, I felt like I was in a tourist trap.
The cheese tasting (€18) was really not up to scratch: limited portions, little honey or jam, and stale bread to accompany it all.
The wine was decent, and fortunately, the friendly service helped raise the bill a bit.
27/10/2025: Very disappointed with this restaurant, as I'd seen good reviews and tempting photos. However, the pasta I ordered was really not great, and the cheese platter was very disappointing. We were seated upstairs, a bit forgotten.
However, the servers were friendly and cheerful.

04/11/2025: I could have bought frozen lamb from a random supermarket and it would have tasted better than what they served. For the price they charge, it’s frankly a ripoff. What made the experience even worse was the staff’s attitude: the waiter insisted, in a rather bossy tone, that we pay one single bill, even though each of us was charged a service fee. You either apply a service fee per table or allow separate bills. You can’t have it both ways. Having lived in Italy for years, I can say I’ve rarely had such an unpleasant dining experience.
31/10/2025: We loved this little restaurant where we had dinner. The welcome was very friendly. The appetizers and assortment of breads and breadsticks were a nice touch. The dishes were very good. I would have liked a bit more fish with the orecchiette, though. Remember to book ahead, as the restaurant is quite small when the weather isn't suitable for dining on the terrace.

17/10/2025: Incredibly nice and professional staff. Comfortable and spacious classic room. Loved that the Cipressi Gardens came with the room, as well as little touches throughout the stay (prosecco, candy). Wonderful!

10/10/2025: Beautiful restaurant with lake views. Outdoor seating. Excellent service (Edoardo). Dishes are well-presented, at the right temperature and texture, and delicious. Good selection of drinks and wines. I recommend booking for a good table. Prices are high, but in line with expectations. Public parking is available nearby. We entered through the hotel.
03/10/2025: The best apitivo we enjoyed during our stay in Italy. The staff were a friendly and gracious. The shared a shots of Amoro, a digestif, with us to celebrate my wife’s birthday and then brought out pastries with candles. They treated all the patrons well (both hotel guests and slubs like us) and you could see many were returning visitors.

24/10/2025: We had a beautiful evening here. My seafood SCIALATIELLI dish was so flavoursome and the salmon with pistachios was delicious. Out waiter was very efficient friendly and professional. Thank you for a memorable evening.

28/11/2025: Excellent. For comfort, especially the rooms overlooking the lake. The rooms are small, but the place is worth staying in for two days. The breakfast was very good and sufficient. The visit was on November 21, 2025.

25/10/2025: It's impossible to get any closer to the water, and in the sun! Plus, the food is good and plentiful... provided you can find a table.
12/10/2025: We sat for a coffe and sweet desert. The view was wonderful at the afternoon. The cheesecake was horrible, stale. The spoon for the capuccino was dirty and reused. The cappuccino had something like crumbs . I woudnt recomend the place except for the view

I came back here after a year and still nothing has changed. The food is super delicious, the service is very friendly, and the prices are very reasonable. I recommend it again 😃
