07/09/2025: La Baita was a pleasant confirmation, the owner was extremely kind, and the staff was knowledgeable. They immediately set up a table inside because it was a bit chilly in the evening... but let's talk about the food! Excellent! The Aieta ham is always a guarantee of delicacy, the ricotta is top-notch, the pasta is all homemade, the tomato ravioli are delicate and delicious, as is the lagane (tagliolini) with local chickpeas... It's definitely worth the drive up to this village... a restaurant open all year round that "consoles" you with its food culture. P.S. Sorry for the photos... we dusted everything...

14/09/2025: Recommended by a local friend, we went to this place, and I must say we left completely satisfied. A historic place in the area, small and welcoming, that has received numerous awards for its tradition. Homemade fileja served with various toppings, all excellent... We tried the zucchini flowers, sausage, and smoked provola, and the beans and mussels... wonderful... Again, on the recommendation of our dear friend, we had the grilled chicken with potatoes... indescribable deliciousness... pure delight... We didn't order an appetizer because given the portions, we wouldn't have been able to taste the chicken, but from what I saw in the dining room, even the full appetizer would have been fully worth it. Next time... Friendly staff, fast service, and reasonable prices... Thanks to Mr. Gianni.

03/10/2025: A small restaurant hidden in the mountains, but very hospitable and down-to-earth. The food is adequate, but I think it could be better. In any case, it's an experience worth trying if you're passing through.

02/10/2025: Everything I ate was delicious, I gave the food 4 stars only because we had to stop at the appetizer, since it was so abundant, and therefore not having tried anything else... I can't rate it higher. 👏👏👏 Congratulations on everything.

01/10/2025: Very attentive team and friendly service! We had the vegetarian antipasti plate for two, followed by delicious filet mignon. The two desserts, tiramisu and tartufo, were also delicious. Highly recommended; we'd be happy to return.

04/10/2025: We ate here while visiting Gerace, and had a wonderful time. The food was excellent, and we were served by a wonderful woman who made us feel at home and pampered. Highly recommended.

26/09/2025: We went to Ristorante A Squella in Gerace, planning on eating fish, but alas, fish wasn't on the menu. The place was inviting, so much so that we decided to order it anyway. The homemade antipasto was delicious, full of homemade products that immediately won us over. And then, the pasta... The "Pasta Casereccia A-Squella" was truly sublime! We immediately identified the sausage, 'nduja, and scamorza, but there were other secret ingredients we couldn't discover. Everything was expertly measured, creating a unique and authentic flavor, typical of Calabria. Ristorante A Squella in Gerace RC Guys, it's worth the trip.

20/08/2025: Beautiful restaurant with amazing food, I brought my mom here and she speaks no Italian and I am still learning. I thought there would be a physical menu, so I had trouble keeping up with the Italian of the waitress and owner but she was incredibly nice and understanding and even used Google translate on her phone to help us order our first course which was very kind and thoughtful of her. We were unfortunately too full to order second courses but the desert was also amazing. Service and food were all fantastic! I'd love to come back again with a bigger group, and when my Italian is improved!

27/08/2025: After a morning spent wandering around the village of Badolato, we decided to have lunch at this tavern. The food was excellent and delicious, and the owner, Antonio, was excellent company and service. He welcomed us as if we were at home. As we chatted, he even offered us some prickly pears to try. Highly recommended if you're visiting Badolato.

27/08/2025: A genuine, family-friendly culinary experience. The dishes, made with locally sourced ingredients, are a true delight: the parmigiana and stuffed eggplant were excellent, but the mushroom gnocchi were truly amazing. The lack of a menu was also appreciated, with the owner simply listing the few excellent daily specials. The price, discovered only at the end, turned out to be very fair and without any surprises—in fact, I'll definitely be back!

21/09/2025: It doesn't live up to its reputation. The meatballs are flavorless, the first course is bland, and the second course I chose (stuffed squid) was a disappointment. The owner is very nice, but in my opinion, they need to raise the bar a bit or lower the prices to justify it all.

20/07/2025: I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant in Tropea! Located in the heart of the city center, the atmosphere is welcoming and relaxing. The fish is fresh and high-quality, and the tuna tartare was a real revelation! The owner was very kind and helpful, and the staff was equally welcoming and professional. The prices are beyond excellent considering the quality of the food and service. Everything was delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Tropea.

The simple, homey atmosphere is the perfect backdrop for authentic cuisine bursting with local flavors. We enjoyed homemade dishes prepared with fresh, local ingredients: generous appetizers and homemade pasta reminiscent of grandma's cooking. The delicious antipasti and porcini mushroom pasta dishes are not to be missed. The house wine also accompanied the meal. The hostess was extremely kind, helpful, and eager to passionately recommend the daily specials. It felt like eating at a friend's house, with the quality of a cuisine passed down through time. A restaurant I highly recommend to anyone seeking authenticity, flavor, and Calabrian hospitality. We will definitely return.

24/08/2025: The bistro is a tranquil escape from the chaos of city life, embodying the essence of a truly slow-paced lifestyle. If you're in the area, it's the perfect place to savor traditional Calabrian cuisine made with locally sourced ingredients. The hostess, La Signora, the waitress was incredibly kind to us. After seating us at the table, she promptly offered some delightful bread, including a spicy bread with peperoncino. The restaurant has only five tables, so it's advisable to make a reservation in advance. The antipasto is a must-try, featuring a selection of typical dishes that allow you to enjoy a variety of delicious flavors. We decided to go straight to the second course, but the pasta and first course options looked so tempting that we couldn't resist ordering a bowl of pasta and fagioli. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we will definitely be back. Bravi!

10/09/2025: Neither good nor bad - somewhere in between. Sometimes on a Saturday night you like to be surprised: too bad, everything was discounted... not with the prices, though, which were completely normal.
