21/02/2026: Exceptional food. From the appetizers to the main courses, to the meats and desserts, everything was truly excellent. The service was courteous and prompt despite the restaurant being packed. The prices were more than fair.

14/02/2026: One of the best restaurants I have ever eaten. The antipasti's just kept on coming and were all delicious. We skipped the primo, as we were already exploding, but the main course was also superb. The price of everything was also great. I have never seen a better value-for-money ratio for any restaurant.

20/03/2026: Delicious Father's Day dinner! Everything was delicious, but the first courses were truly exceptional! The spaghetti with cod and cruschi was incredibly delicious, and the lagana and chickpeas were excellent! The giancia melted in your mouth, and the homemade desserts were top-notch. It's always a pleasure to return. Highly recommended!

23/12/2025: Today, December 23, 2025, I had lunch at the LA BOTTE restaurant. The flavors were unique and delicious, just like they used to be. Antonio is very accommodating. It was like having lunch with family. A heartfelt thank you to people like Antonio who keep the service for tourists alive.

25/01/2026: Frankly, I don't understand all the reviews raving about this place...maybe I'm on the wrong day! I had lunch on a Sunday in January. I was in the Bagnara area, and, drawn by the reviews, I decided to book a table for four for 1 pm for my family. The woman I'm talking to kindly told me yes, but that they open at 12 pm, implying I could also come earlier. We went anyway at 1 pm sharp, and strangely, it was closed! Not being local, I started to suspect I'd made the wrong place, so I called and they told me they were about to open right then: thank goodness I hadn't come earlier! The atmosphere was nice, the staff friendly. We ordered a marinated anchovy appetizer, which was good but nothing special. The first courses, three different ones, had cooking issues. Not only were they not al dente, but the pasta was clearly overcooked, and three out of three of them weren't simply a mistake! The second courses were good, but again, nothing exceptional. The desserts (apple pie) were below expectations, considering I'd read reviews that described them as the best desserts I'd ever tried... who knows! Paying €20 for two slices of soggy cake that looked like it had been made by a novice leaves a bitter taste in my mouth, even more so than the dessert itself. The bottle of wine we chose was good, as were the glasses of sparkling wine we ordered to accompany the desserts, since I was celebrating my 50th birthday. For this very reason, I expected at least a complimentary coffee, but that didn't happen! The price was high, but it was reasonable for what we ordered and there were no surprises compared to the menu.

23/02/2026: It's amazing how simplicity is sometimes the best weapon to combat the ruthless competition that continues to raise prices and even add the word gourmet to olives. Here, without frills, you eat well, they treat you like a god, simple dishes from Calabrian culture. Fresh, handmade products, nothing frozen. Prices, needless to say. They keep costs down by preparing everything themselves, and this benefits the customer. Truly speechless. Congratulations.

10/09/2025: Neither good nor bad - somewhere in between. Sometimes on a Saturday night you like to be surprised: too bad, everything was discounted... not with the prices, though, which were completely normal.

You'll appreciate the chef's rare ability to showcase local culinary traditions with just the right amount of creativity. 18/12/2025: I'd been there 21 years ago, and it was already an institution! A "family-like" atmosphere, informal, and pleasant. Typical, homemade food, a location that gives you the feeling of eating at home, with your grandparents... The owner, a descendant of generations of restaurateurs, is always attentive to his customers: he talks about the hospitality his grandparents gave him, and he's a friendly host who also enjoys sampling tradition. If you're visiting the area (the Mileto Museum has numerous interesting artifacts and unique pieces!), I highly recommend stopping by!
