21/02/2026: Exceptional food. From the appetizers to the main courses, to the meats and desserts, everything was truly excellent. The service was courteous and prompt despite the restaurant being packed. The prices were more than fair.

14/02/2026: One of the best restaurants I have ever eaten. The antipasti's just kept on coming and were all delicious. We skipped the primo, as we were already exploding, but the main course was also superb. The price of everything was also great. I have never seen a better value-for-money ratio for any restaurant.

03/04/2026: Probably one of the best restaurant experiences we've had. This one is located in the mountains above Tropea. The antipasti offered a wide variety of local products. The pasta was simple but perfectly cooked, and the sauce was delicious. The meat selection was generous and cooked to perfection. We loved the attentive service. They took the time to offer helpful advice, and the servers always made sure everything was going smoothly during our meal. The price was so reasonable considering the quantity and quality. In my opinion, if you're vacationing in Tropea with a car, avoid the touristy restaurants (expensive and not good) and come to this restaurant!

From the outside, the restaurant initially appears rather unassuming, but as soon as you step into the cozy cellar, you're pleasantly surprised – a wonderful atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at ease. The food was simply fantastic – everything was fresh, incredibly delicious, and prepared with so much love. You can immediately tell that quality and passion play a major role here. A very special thank you goes to Samuele and his family: The warmth and hospitality of the entire team are truly exceptional. You don't feel like a guest, but almost like part of the family. During our week in Rome, we went there three times – and that really says it all. Each time was a highlight, and we're already looking forward to our next visit!

18/04/2026: The staff are nice but the food is mediocre at best. The salad was terrible. We had Carbaara and Cacio De Pepe and both were not good. Do nor recommend.

22/03/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 stars for professionalism, hospitality, service, and high-quality food. A beautiful location immersed in the greenery of the Cropanesi countryside...ample parking. Typical and regional Calabrian cuisine, both meat and fish, along with fabulous pizzas cooked in a wood-fired oven. Michele, the owner, and his very kind, welcoming, professional, and attentive staff. I highly recommend it...a beautiful place in our area 🥇🥇🔝🔝🤩🤩🫡🫡😎😎

10/03/2026: If you're looking for the authentic Calabria, the kind of genuine hospitality and bold flavors, this restaurant is a must-visit. The culinary journey begins with a selection of house appetizers that, alone, are worth the entire dinner. It's not your typical run-of-the-mill selection: here, you can taste the quality of the ingredients... Highly recommended! I'll definitely be back.

02/01/2026: Beautiful location and very kind owner. We ate an excellent tagliatella with porcini mushrooms, an appetizer of cured meats and cheeses, house wine, water, coffee, €35. We will be back!

23/12/2025: Today, December 23, 2025, I had lunch at the LA BOTTE restaurant. The flavors were unique and delicious, just like they used to be. Antonio is very accommodating. It was like having lunch with family. A heartfelt thank you to people like Antonio who keep the service for tourists alive.

23/02/2026: It's amazing how simplicity is sometimes the best weapon to combat the ruthless competition that continues to raise prices and even add the word gourmet to olives. Here, without frills, you eat well, they treat you like a god, simple dishes from Calabrian culture. Fresh, handmade products, nothing frozen. Prices, needless to say. They keep costs down by preparing everything themselves, and this benefits the customer. Truly speechless. Congratulations.

13/04/2026: A very warm welcome. Very friendly and welcoming service. I'm sorry to have to give a bad review, but the food was bland and a bit off. It was like a child pretending to cook Calabrian food. We were full, but it wasn't enjoyable.

17/03/2026: Service was too slow. Portions of vegetarian meals are too small. It was a 5-course meal dinner, and it took 5 hours to serve these. Though the order was already pre-ordered, still had to wait so long for each course. Ravioli was undercooked and had too much salt. Risotto's rice was undercooked. Lasagna with zucchini and potato, Cabbage/Lettuce with mushroom sauce, cake were okay.

08/03/2026: Hidden in the backstreets of Tropea, this local restaurant serves delicious local food. The prices may not be the lowest, but it's worth it! The interior is small but atmospheric, and you can eat outside, but being off-season, the weather wasn't ideal for al fresco dining. The pasta with Lucius and mushrooms was simply exquisite!

08/09/2025: I happened to visit and it turned out to be a restaurant that had been renovated from a church!! The atmosphere was really great! I ordered Neapolitan pizza, and it was the best pizza I had during my trip to Italy! When I visited, I suddenly wanted to eat Aglio Olio, but it wasn't on the menu. So I asked just in case, and they said it wasn't difficult and made it for me! I recharged after a tiring evening of traveling with delicious food and a great atmosphere! gràzie!

18/04/2026: As soon as we arrived in Reggio, we came to this restaurant without a reservation, based on a local recommendation, and luckily we found a table. The space isn't particularly large, with a simply and tastefully furnished outdoor terrace... the staff are friendly and helpful (which is a plus for this restaurant). The menu focuses exclusively on regional cuisine, with dishes that will reconcile you with your taste buds... unfortunately, due to personal reasons, we weren't able to eat everything the restaurant offered, so we had to limit ourselves to two first courses and a second course to share... VERY SATISFIED!!!!

16/04/2026: The food was really good and tasty. I had dinner and since i was alone and wanted to try as much as possible, i got the antipasto which was more than enough for me. Everything was very good, i was sorry i couldn’t eat more. The waiters were very nice, friendly and fast. Since i got the antipasto, i paid the fixed menu: this+sorbeto+water+wine for 20 euros. I walked in, hadn’t made a reservation but i went early - around 19:45.

19/04/2026: The experience exceeded our expectations. The appetizer of Calabrian beef meatballs and cod croquettes were superb. Two first courses: tagliatelle alla stroncatura and fusilli with meat ragù (delicious chunks of meat) were excellent. Desserts: Nutella cheesecake and Calabrian tiramisu, both mouthwatering. After dinner, live music with an exceptional band. Superlative atmosphere. The owner? A hero.
