The former convent refectory, transformed into a family-run restaurant over 50 years ago, continues to serve authentic, traditional, and high-quality cuisine, complemented by some highly successful innovations from the new generation of chefs. You'll also find a good wine list, naturally with a focus on the excellent Montepulciano d'Abruzzo.

The service is expert and attentive, with thorough, yet concise, explanations of the dishes and wines, and the atmosphere is a welcoming blend of past and present. I recommend it for both an evening with friends and a romantic dinner.

04/08/2025: Ristorante carino, buona la location, abbastana buona l'accoglienza, meno la sistemazione nel tavolo assegnato sebbene al momento fossero possibili alternative. Negativa la presentazione del menù con diverse portate non disponibili e alternative poco chiare. Mancanza di contorni e verdure e atteggiamento un po' altezzoso della proprietaria, cortese ma fredda. Cucina buona ma troppo cara sia per il posto che per la varietà proposta.

The first thing that strikes you is the kindness and hospitality of the staff: waiters are always smiling, helpful, and ready to passionately recommend the daily specials, making us feel right at home. The menu is a riot of local flavors: delicious dishes, prepared with fresh, quality ingredients, that showcase Abruzzo's traditions with a touch of originality. The portions? Truly generous! Forget about minimal dishes: here, you eat with gusto and satisfaction. Another great plus: dogs are welcome on the terrace, where you can dine while enjoying the splendid view of the mountains. 27/08/2025: Trattoria where you can enjoy traditional Abruzzo dishes, top-quality ingredients at fair prices. The Don Ciccio appetizer is amazing! The chitarra pasta with sheep ragù and spaghetti with Sulmona red garlic are spectacular! The atmosphere is simple and limited, so reservations are a must, preferably a few days in advance.

06/09/2025: Typical dishes cooked beautifully, you absolutely have to mop up the bread, the arrosticini are excellent, and the house dessert is delicious. The place is very cute, and the staff are friendly and helpful. What a wonderful discovery: there's still someone out there who offers fair prices!

04/09/2025: Here the truffle is at home and I ate divinely every dish was excellent I highly recommend it from the Ravioli with stracciata and truffles to the Chitarrina with pecorino and pancetta also excellent the scamorza and truffle fondue and to finish the homemade desserts.

28/08/2025: Nice restaurant, but the mixed roast was absolutely disappointing. It was so dry and chewy it was inedible (and in fact, we left most of it on our plate). It's a shame, because I'd read good reviews; they claimed to come to every table to ask how things went... No one came to our table; the guy who took it away didn't say a word. I was the one who told him the meat was tough, but he didn't know what to say. The service also left a lot to be desired; my husband is still waiting for a spoon that never arrived... Finally, the icing on the cake: two tables near us were billed incorrectly. Our bill was correct and even fair, except that we practically threw away the €18.50 for the meat.

19/08/2025: I'll start by saying that every time I passed through Forme, I stopped for dinner. It was a bad experience, and the owner was rude to say the least. I asked for rare cuts of meat, and they brought me almost charred cuts of meat. (The waiter also agreed with me.) The first courses were simply excessive in quantity, but lacked flavor. An experience to forget.

27/08/2025: Out of our 10-day vacation in Abruzzo, we dined here three times. The owner, Francesco, was excellent at taking care of everything, the dining room staff was excellent, and Stefania, the grill chef, was phenomenal! It was a pleasure to watch her at work! The food was high quality, the meat excellent, the first courses, vegetables, and desserts equally as good. Congratulations to everyone, highly recommended.

27/08/2025: When you're away from home, you always look for a warm, welcoming place that makes you feel at home. On our trip to Pianella, we really enjoyed this place and highly recommend it, unlike many nearby restaurants that are very arrogant and rude. The staff, including the chef, who personally came to our table to check if everything was okay, were really kind. The food was excellent, the quality was excellent, and the price was excellent. It deserves much more than 5 stars. 🌟

17/08/2025: What can I say? I don't think there are any standards or conditions that justify this place's praise. The place is also nice, although it's located on a "dull" and hidden side street, thus not very central. So even the tables in the outdoor garden don't have particularly satisfying views, other than that of a ramshackle church built according to the principles of modern architecture. But getting to the point, it's the quality that really left a bad taste in my mouth: arrosticini that were cheap, but really worthless: stringy pieces of sinew and generally tough. They cost less, it's true, but they're worth less. As for the rest, the prices for the other dishes are insane: two sausages for €12. The pizzas are priced at around €10/€12 in central Milan, a simple Margherita is €8, but the most disconcerting and unsettling thing is reading the price of Coca-Cola: a 1-litre bottle of Coca-Cola costs €8. These are prices almost like those of a Bulgari Hotel (a world-famous five-star luxury hotel in the world's most glamorous cities). Charging eight euros for a bottle of Coca-Cola in such an anonymous place is, I believe, a truly final affront to the customer, who, as far as I'm concerned, will never return.

14/08/2025: We discovered it by chance and had a great time. Nothing special, just a few dishes but very well made. The value for money was excellent. We ate really well. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. It's centrally located, very easy to find, and the air-conditioned restaurant is a must-try. Highly recommended.
