Food was okay, service was okay. Being objetive I didn’t like it took them 1 hour to bring the food and people that were before us were served first. Tip was already included in the bill which I don’t mind when the service is flawless.

Excellent cuisine, clearly inspired by Venetian tradition, especially seafood (but with the guarantee of Venetian-style liver). The overwhelming presence of Venetians, evidenced by their accents, confirms the promise of respect for the territory. The creamed cod is unmissable, as are the scallops. The gnocchi with artichokes and clams is original and well-executed. The fish fillet is a masterpiece: delicately flavored, seasoned with vegetables but clean and rare. Service is extremely fast and precise. A wide selection of quality wines. The desserts are excellent! Friendly staff. Very reasonable prices.

Popped in on a Thursday night peak dinner service and got a table for my mum and I, felt lucky. The raw seafood platter was amazing, but I wish we got two oysters with it as there is no way to share an oyster and we shared the platter. My mum's duck ragu pasta was delicious, and I went for a traditional liver and polenta dish, that I didn't enjoy that much, but I think it was my choice and preference, not the cooking. The wine list was absolutely amazing, we had some great recommendations from an Italian server who spoke English to us and French to the table next to us! Impressive service. The team were incredible.

In the Cannaregio district, the restaurant had the feel of an inn with an open kitchen and lots of exposed wood. The disappointment was the spider crab, not because it wasn't tasty enough, even though it wasn't comparable to one from colder waters, but because of its ridiculously small size, barely enough for a couple of pintxos. Its price, €24, didn't suggest such a tiny portion. However, the Venetian-style cuttlefish (€24), incredibly tender, made up for this shortcoming and left a very good taste in my mouth, even with the polenta base... In any case, very expensive.

We went three times in five days. The quality of the fish and the mastery of the cooking completely captivated us. The servers were incredibly efficient. A wonderful experience, but reservations are essential.

We visited Vini da Gigio just after we arrived in Venice and it was great way to start our trip. We started with a set of raw fish for starter and followed with pasta. All of which was very delicious.
