Great food, great atmosphere. I had a tagliolini and grilled scallops. Very good. The Americano and Negroni were good too :)

From the outside, the restaurant is rather unassuming (no outdoor seating), but cozy inside. We were there for lunch and had a good Caprese salad and Fritto Misto. Delicious house wine and a huge wine list. Very friendly service from two young men. Highly recommended.

Excellent food in a local establishment that I discovered while researching the Michelin guide. The pasta is to die for! The spider crab linguini and the anchovy broccoli pasta were among the best pastas I had in Italy period. The turbot fish of the day was cooked perfectly with farm to table vegetables. The strawberry cake dessert was the perfect way to end the meal. I was salivating for more and wish I tried more dishes. I love the farm to table concept of this restaurant and the homey warm feeling when you walk in. This is a must for your trip to Venice.

They were recommended to us by locals and did not disappoint. The risotto was perfection. This is a gem of a restaurant and hopefully stays off the radar!

The food was just ok which was disappointing after a long walk. Service was also ok. We had to ask for things. My husband ordered Sea Bass and it had many bones. My tuna was a little overcooked and not seasoned enough. The atmosphere is nice. No wait to be seated as we had reservations.

We went there based on the Michelin recommendation, as we often do when visiting different cities. This was about a month ago during our stay in Venice for the Biennale. The spot is lovely and the restaurant very cosy if it wasn’t for the service… After we arrived, we were seated, but our waiter disappeared for nearly 30 minutes without even asking whether we would like a glass of water. Other guests seemed more fortunate with a different waiter, who promptly seated them and offered drinks. When our waiter finally reappeared to take our order—after enjoying a few sips of wine behind the bar—we had to ask for water ourselves. The food was decent. We had the tagliatelle and the fish of the day. Both were enjoyable enough, but neither dish was particularly memorable. What really spoiled the experience was the service. I understand this is a family-run restaurant, and it was a busy weekend evening. I also don’t mind staff enjoying themselves and sharing a glass of wine while working. However, after finishing our main courses, we waited so long for dessert that it became obvious our order had simply been forgotten. We sat there with empty plates and glasses, while staff chatted and drank wine behind the bar. Eventually, we gave up on dessert and asked for the bill. We left feeling frustrated rather than impressed. For a Michelin-recommended restaurant, the level of service was surprisingly poor, and I don’t need anything else just offer me water take my order and don’t forget about the basis of your work.

Nice little restaurant with outstanding cuisine—probably the best dinner of our trip. Highlights were the baby scallop appetizer and the whole sea bass main course. Service was friendly and informative. The atmosphere was pleasant, with lots of wood; “rustic” is a good description. Prices reasonable. A big plus is that it is located in the Cannaregio district, and a walk along the Strada Nova is a great way to begin and end your evening.

Really enjoyed my dinner at Vini da Gigio. The atmosphere was cozy and authentic, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious, especially the seafood pasta, and everything tasted fresh and well prepared. The wine recommendation was also great and matched the meal perfectly. Overall, it was one of my favorite restaurants in Venice and I would definitely come back again.
