The tagliolini with black truffle and clarified butter were a real delight, as was the mascarpone cream. We also had an appetizer of mixed cured meats and parmesan (50 months!) with fried pie, ravioli with porcini mushrooms and the tart of the day, a glass of wine and we spent €70 for two. I would happily return in the fall to enjoy all the mushroom dishes!

What to say... after reading just one review, I rushed in on a Sunday without a reservation... 5 stars is a must... it's difficult to find good food (to make everyone better) and above all a nice big boss... thanks Cristiano, it was a pleasure to meet you And above all you are a good, very hospitable host.. enjoy life

We stop by every year after the game. Mandatory stop for anyone passing through here. The owner is extremely personable and welcoming, and the food is simply fantastic. Each dish is a riot of flavours, but I absolutely have to recommend the mascarpone with biscuit crumbs for dessert - a real treat for the palate! I can't wait to go back.

Vecchio Borgo sempre ad altissimi livelli, il clima super allegro nel paese di Borgotaro per il carnevale ha fatto da contorno ad una cena di alta qualità. Top Ciao Cristiano alla prossima!

Pranzo di fine ottobre a Borgo Val di Taro. Lunedì piovoso, da allerta rossa, quindi siamo rimasti già piacevolmente stupiti che fosse aperto e in realtà con i tavoli quasi tutti occupati. Abbiamo subito compreso il perché. Piatti buonissimi della tradizione locale, titolare gentilissimo e prezzi corretti. Abbiamo mangiato ottimi anolini in brodo e ottimi funghi fritti; a seguire, degna di nota la punta di vitello ripiena con contorno di verdure e maionese al basilico. Non c’era più spazio per i dolci, ma sembravano buonissimi anche quelli. Da tornarci senz’altro. Consigliata assolutamente la prenotazione.

02/04/2024: I have been a customer of the Osteria di Fornio for at least ten years, although I go about once a year due to the distance between my place of residence and Fidenza. This restaurant is a real point of reference for good Emilian cuisine, expertly revisited by the chef in a more contemporary key, without however distorting it. At these levels of quality it is difficult to talk about dishes being better than others. However, I would like to point out the Buon Insieme menu, thanks to which we got to know the Osteria di Fornio years ago, which represents an excellent way to get to know the dishes of this place and its territory at 360°. The welcome from the dining room staff was also genuine and professional, led by the friendly husband of the chef and co-owner. A service as warm as that of taverns and as attentive as that of an excellent restaurant. Absolutely recommended and, without doubt, we will continue to return.
