The world of taverns is a cultural and gastronomic heritage that has allowed the Langa, Roero and Monferrato to reach the top of the sector and attract tourists from all over the world. Knowledge, techniques, details, the flavors of the garden and the seasons, cooking times, wood as fuel, the spirit of hospitality and the desire to share joyful moments and dishes are the indispensable bulwarks of our way of life and be. A well-known song says ..If the Langa is like this......and in this refrain all the essence of the spirit of our legendary people is concentrated. Fortunately in the area some "ostu" have resisted the wind of change and continue to be flags of authentic food and environment and oases for gourmets and lovers of good living and the quality of human relationships. This is the case of Sbaranzo, a tavern in this hamlet of Clavesana, in the Monregalese Langa. The last Dolcetto vineyards a few hundred meters away will give way to the pastures and woods of the Tume Langa, hazelnuts, chestnuts, mushrooms and other delicacies. We arrive on the first day of Lent with Luciano and Bruno, two friends in love like myself with the beautiful conviviality of the tavern. Tradition reminds us that today we leave the meat for the fish, which in this corner of Piedmont is called cod,
The triumph of this dish is expected for dinner, thanks to the coincidence with Valentine's Day. The two rooms are full of tavern people, many workers who respect the beautiful custom of a good authentic dish to interrupt the job done with commitment and professionalism. Tables well prepared with simplicity, absolute cleanliness and the dishes arrive immediately, farmhouse salami and bacon, veal with tuna sauce, fusilli with tomatoes, fried cod with bunet side dish and coffee. Excellent red and white house wine served by the kind, friendly and attentive owners. From the kitchen comes the inviting scent of the green sauce for the cod that will be served at dinner. Today is a work day and there are no songs, which were and fortunately remain the pearls of wisdom of the civilization of our taverns. A wonderful experience that we will repeat soon. Super honest price. Simple, excellent quality cuisine, light and authentic. Super recommended

Trattoria dove sembra che il tempo si sia fermato agli anni 60, conduzione familiare, ho mangiato salame, vitello tonnato, pasta al pesto, bollito, due assaggi di dolci, dolcetto della casa sfuso; ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo, ci tornerò di sicuro.
