Ristorante Santa Caterina In Girifalco

A good base for our parks cycle route, right on the cycle-tourist route. Very large and comfortable room, well-appointed; the host, Enzo, is always available to meet his guests' needs. It's a bit out of the way from the center of Girifalco, and since the property doesn't offer on-site dining (only breakfast), you'll need to head downtown for dinner. Enzo's availability (and timing) is crucial, as he'll drive you into town free of charge and pick you up after dinner to take you back to the B&B. Recommended.

During our bike ride, we stayed and ate at this B&B. The room was spacious and clean. The entire farmhouse was beautifully designed, both inside and out. Enzo was very friendly and kind, and accommodated our dietary needs, especially at breakfast, despite it being June 2nd. Dinner, what can I say? Superb. Both for the quality of the dishes he offered and for the generous portions, which were a great way to recharge our batteries for the next stages. And then there were many more points in his favor for the super-potato Aron and the sweet little cats!!

I don't understand the few bad reviews this place has received. The price for the room and meal is admittedly above average, but the room is very large, and the meal was delicious. The Airbnb host took us to the restaurant in the fog, remained relaxed and friendly despite our terrible Italian, and the breakfast was very generous; lots of pre-packaged items, but no different from what you usually find in Italy. The owner opened the hotel just for us; thank you to him.
