After a few years, I returned to Bologna and was delighted to return to this restaurant for some excellent tagliatelle with ragù and some excellent crostini.

The service was pleasant and quick, the food is difficult to judge in just a few courses, let's say that I ate the petroniana with gusto, the tigelle were good but as they are eaten almost everywhere, the cheesecake was disappointing. Excellent choice of wines. Like every typical city tavern, you eat and spend, especially on drinks.

I returned to this place after many years and came away with a different idea from the memory I had. Ordinary dishes, unjustifiable value for money, staff with a cold and hasty manner, except for the very kind gentleman who serves the tables. If we add the difficulty of finding parking in the area and the fact that an hour before closing they started putting chairs on the tables...

Excellent typical Bolognese tavern. Imperfect in appearance - as the taverns of the past were with mismatched chairs and old tables, different floors from room to room - but it is precisely the imperfections that make that place real, so entering that atmosphere is like taking a dive into the past. I have been several times and always left satisfied and full because the temptations are countless and change from season to season. Highly recommended Ps, years after the first review, I confirm everything

13/09/2025: A beautiful restaurant in Bologna. The food was delicious - we had Squacquerone cheese and mortadella for starters, and tortellini in brodo and tagliatelle alla bolognese (both of which are typical pasta dishes from Bologna) for mains. I also had a glass of wine and gelato with balsamico for dessert. We paid approx. 45 euros per person.
