There is still the atmosphere of the authentic Piola, an atmosphere that has now disappeared from these villages..it is worth a visit..

I had lunch in this historic restaurant. I appreciated all the dishes of traditional Piedmontese cuisine. I highly recommend it and will gladly return.

12/03/2024: Ho prenotato sabato sera una pizza senza glutine d'asporto. Squisita come mai né avevo mangiate. Impasto particolarmente delizioso, fatto da loro. Ma non è l' unica nota positiva del locale. Per un imprevisto ho dovuto disdire la prima prenotazione, per poi richiamare e loro sono stati sempre gentilissimi e molto disponibili! Assolutamente da provare e da tornarci!
06/03/2024: First course with swordfish sauce good, tomato onion side dish not recommended (more onion than tomato) I find it expensive. Especially sweet for €5

Osteria La Fermata

30/04/2024: Lovely meal at the end of a long day’s travel from Nice to Alba. The owner’s brother-in-law was gracious and patient with our English. When he learnt we were visiting to go for a truffle hunt, he offered to add truffle shavings on my risotto at no additional cost. The local white wine was also a refreshing change. It felt like a real experience in a genuinely authentic Italian restaurant in a quiet suburb. Bravo!
