My wife and I went here on a Friday evening in September. The place is nice, with an outdoor terrace and an indoor dining room. The service, however, leaves much to be desired:
- they had seated us on the terrace, but we asked, and had to insist, that due to the unpleasant wind, we would prefer to dine inside. Being told that they had decided to use only the terrace that evening, otherwise the waiters would have been confused, was grotesque, but in the end we were granted our request (besides, there were already other diners inside, so I don't understand what the problem was).
- a quarter of an hour to order.
- a half-hour wait for beers, appetizers, and two pizzas (not even the drinks arrived immediately).
- the pizzas arrive first, then the appetizer.
- a couple at the next table orders eggplant appetizers, and suddenly, something completely different arrives; they politely protest, but the waitress replies that... that's what they have.
In short... amateurs at random.
The pizzas were good, though not unforgettable, but definitely good.
The potato croquets were good, but probably frozen.
The prices were reasonable.
We'd love to return to try the food (which many say is sublime), but... the promise isn't good.
They could use at least one smart waiter in the dining room and more professionalism from the manager. You can't improvise in restaurants.

We had dinner, with a reservation, at Osteria Diabasis, located in the historic center of Ascea (the capital). We chose the pizza we were craving, but perusing the menu, several of the first courses and main courses caught our attention, particularly the Cilento specialties. The restaurant is well-kept and tidy. We dined on the covered terrace, which was very pleasant and naturally cool. The service was courteous and attentive. The pizza was truly excellent, both in terms of the dough and the freshness and flavor of the ingredients. The Muraglione pizza is highly recommended. We opted for a craft red beer and finished with a dessert by the glass with ricotta and Cilento white figs, delicious. A great experience!

We've been twice. The first time we had pizza. Excellent, with top-quality ingredients and a dough superior even to some Neapolitan pizzerias. The second time we had the catering: excellent selection of first courses, few but flavorful and with well-balanced ingredients; as well as the second courses, cooked to perfection. Good value. Highly recommended, we'll be back.

This restaurant is just steps from where I was staying. I dined on the terrace (I recommend seating near the parapet, as it's a bit warm inside). The food quality is excellent, with generous portions and a wide selection, including vegetarian options. The gnocchi with white figs are exceptional, and I highly recommend them. The price is reasonable, considering it's not located in Ascea Marina, but in the village of Ascea itself. Congratulations!

We had an appetizer with local cured meats and cheeses, an octopus-based Genovese, and a gnocchi with buffalo mozzarella and figs (outstanding!!); everything was EXCELLENT!! The service was helpful and friendly. The location was clean and intimate. Street parking was available. It's a shame we live a 2-hour drive away, otherwise we would have happily returned, especially to try the pizzas, which looked just as good! Prices were moderately high, but the presentation was just right.

Really lovely food, so nice we came twice! The baby octopus was divine, as was the small plates of aubergine and courgette, the local dish of aubergine in tomato and the gnocchi with green figs and blue bufala cheese. The menu changes seemingly daily, so check it out on line before you go. The pizza was good, my son had a margarita both times. House wine for €5 for 1/2 litre was excellent and the desserts were decent. All in all two delightful meals and excellent value for money!

Una perla nascosta ma che vale la pena di scoprire!
La prima volta che sono andato ho provato la loro cucina e ne sono rimasto piu che soddisfatto, ingredienti genuini, freschi e cucinati con semplicità e attenzione ai dettagli. La seconda volta invece ho assaggiato la pizza che con mia gradita sorpresa ho messo sul podio delle migliori del cilento se non la migliore! Impasto leggerissimo e ingredienti slow food che neanche la pizzeria piú chic del cilento si sogna di mettere su una pizza! Blu di bufala, salumi di gioi, cacioricotta bio, olive ammaccate... pure il pomodoro tutto un altro sapore. tutto il meglio che offre il cilento in un unico posto. Incredibile
