An overall decent place in the San Lorenzo area. The food is good and plentiful, but I wasn't impressed, though it's good, especially considering the quality/price ratio. Service isn't particularly fast, but in good company, that doesn't really matter. The atmosphere is questionable due to poor lighting and noise-control features that, in my opinion, are a bit too artistic.

The meat tacos were good, BUT there were three tacos, two with meat and one with salad, carrots, and a salsa they didn't explain to us. Unfortunately, the vegetarian one tastes like nothing. If I order the meat option, I don't expect salad tacos, which don't even have a hint of salt. It's also true that the meat ones are very good, nice and juicy, and the option should only offer that type of taco. The drinks were good. The service was okay, the place was very interesting. I'll be back to revisit the food option and hope to be reconsidered.

I rarely leave reviews, but we had a really good time this evening. The place was very welcoming. A very kind woman served us, and the food was excellent. The octopus was really good!

Excellent food. I've rarely eaten amatriciana and not felt at all heavy! The other dishes were excellent, too. The staff were friendly, and the vintage atmosphere was gorgeous. 😍

Excellent, light food... delicious meat, even the pasta... it's fresh and handmade! The beer is also very good... friendly staff! Excellent chef. Thanks for the experience.

18/02/2026: We were here in the summer of 2024. We were strolling around the square and the waiter invited us into the restaurant, saying that if we didn't like the food, we didn't have to pay. I thought I'd joke about not liking the food, but the carbonara was so delicious that I decided to write a review about it. I've had carbonara elsewhere since, but nowhere was it as delicious as at Clemente alla Maddalena.
15/02/2026: This place was a wonderful surprise! We stumbled upon it while walking to the Trevi Fountain. Since it was a holiday, they were about to close, but the waiter very kindly offered to serve us. We sat down for drinks, and they brought us chips and peanuts. We never felt pressured by any of the staff, and the drinks were excellent! When I return, I'll definitely try the food too. So grateful for the service! The place is truly beautiful, and there was a man playing an instrument in the street—it was very romantic!

31/03/2026: The place is not very large but welcoming. The service is a bit inattentive but overall it is more than sufficient. The first courses are very good for my taste, both the pici with beef and red fruits and the rigatoni with chicory and sausage. The cutting board is more beautiful than it is good. The wine cellar is excellent.
23/03/2026: Yesterday during a walk, we discovered this beautiful place and were immediately impressed. The owner Federico was extremely friendly and took great care of us. The staff were also very attentive, and the drinks arrived quickly. Since we didn’t have a reservation, we sat outside – but thanks to the heaters, it was very comfortable and not an issue at all. The food was excellent. My wife especially loved her main course. In the end, we paid only €55, which honestly surprised me – I was expecting closer to €100. A very pleasant surprise. We’re really happy we found this place and will definitely come back again while we’re still here.
