After a 40 minute walk with a good difference in altitude you arrive at this mountain hut, limited dishes as expected and slightly chaotic service but we are in a mountain hut. The food is good anyway, but as it is small I recommend arriving by 11.30 to find a seat inside.

Dopo un medio percorso in mezzo a bosco, ruscelli e cascate, si arriva ai piedi della montagna ed un panorama bellissimo. Eccoci alla Malga, dove si mangia e si beve molto bene, prezzi onesti, cortesia e tanto sole. La discesa è divertente in slitta.

I had once been to the Messner Hut. There are delicious food and drinks. I ordered the dumplings with beef goulash and my favorite drink, ski water, and it tasted delicious. The buckwheat cake is really delicious and the coffee is simply delicious. The conditions are very nice. Lena Bachmann is sweet and Luca is a very nice person.

I once went to the Messner Hütte for lunch. There are very tasty food and drinks. I ordered the dumplings with beef goulash and my favorite drink, ski water, and it tasted delicious. The buckwheat cake is really delicious and the coffee is simply delicious. The conditions are very nice. Lena Bachmann is sweet and Luca is a very nice person.

Very nice hut. Relatively easy to reach on foot. It's great fun to go down to the valley on a toboggan.

Beautiful, high-altitude cabin. After the stop, we had a fast sleigh ride with the children. Lovely again.

Malga located on the border with Austria, can be reached via a walk of almost an hour but it is worth it. The staff is kind and friendly, we hadn't booked but they still found us a table to sit at with a very beautiful panoramic view. The menu offers various specialties, I had an omelette with cranberries called Kaiserschmarrn, truly delicious. The waiting times were above average but good value for money, I had a very good time, it's a place worth stopping at.

Incantevole malga che si trova al termine di una piacevolissima camminata, circa 1 ora dal parcheggio. Personale gentilissimo e cibo ottimo. Struttura piccola, non si accettano prenotazioni se non per gruppi.

Eine der wenigen Hütten, die Mitte Oktober noch geöffnet haben. Ich kam ziemlich platt nach vier Stunden Bergwanderung an der Messnerhütte an und wurde mit super leckeren Knödeltris und nettem Service belohnt. Viele verschiedene Sitzmöglichkeiten zum Relaxen und Sonnen.

Café Pizzeria am Platzl

28/04/2024: Today, on our arrival day in Hafling, we visited the pizzeria am Platzl on the recommendation of our landlady and with great hunger. We weren't disappointed. Super delicious, large pizza, world-class tomato salad with buffalo mozzarella, fresh forest beer on tap. Nice and quick service too. It is all the more tragic and sad to hear that today is actually the tenants' last day here and the restaurant will be closed from tomorrow; at least until a successor is found. We would therefore like to thank the operator and wish you all the best for the gastronomic future; wherever this will be.

25/12/2023: Wow! Hier werden Dinge gemischt, die auf den ersten Blick nicht zusammenpassen, aber super lecker sind. Das Kalb war für unseren Geschmack etwas zu rot, aber da hätte man fragen können. Das Forellenfilet war großartig auf Linsen und unter schwarzem Rettich, ungewöhnlich und speziell. Sehr sehr lecker! Der Nachtisch war nicht meins, aber das macht nichts. Man muss auch mal was Neues probieren und Einheitsbrei gibt es hier nicht! Zum Wein: man kann sich beraten lassen und darf dann probieren, oder man geht in den Weinraum und sucht sich etwas aus. Das habe ich bis jetzt noch nie erlebt. Toll! Obwohl ich mich etwas überfordert fühlte, weil ich mich nicht als Weinkenner bezeichnen würde.
