Good food, nice settings. Building used to be a police station. 5 of us, 3 English, 2 Italian, one of whom grew up nearby but now lives in Parma Had frittata, mixed meats, pasta and veal with ripiena parmigiano (a local stuffing) Nice local white wine (fry sparkling) and local sparkling red - gurturnio. Would return and recommend

Very suggestive environment in an old barracks. Excellent food and very friendly staff. A highly recommended place set in the wonderful landscape of the Parma hills!

A very pleasant surprise! During a motorbike ride, I passed by Pellegrino Parmense and noticed the place overlooking the street. The name "La Vecchia Caserma" piqued my curiosity and I entered. Ancient and historic building, tastefully renovated, with all the beautiful exposed stones in the interior, furnishings like the taverns of the past, and very kind staff who immediately make you feel at "home". I tasted two fish dishes; fried anchovies and scialatelli with clams, plentiful but above all truly excellent, washed down with a very respectable Malvasia Piacentina, of which I "stole" the label. To finish I chose the house "tiramisu", also decidedly above average, a good coffee and a final bill that makes you want to come back as soon as possible.....what else?!

You can't have lunch in the cold and frost... it's not acceptable to have such a beautiful and characteristic environment and lose all the chances of someone wanting to return, just because it isn't heated adequately. A pellet stove at the back of the room according to the owner, it should be enough....meh. Too bad because the rest is impeccable

Piatti strepitosi e pizza buonissima. Marzia la titolare una persona come ce ne sono poche e anche il personale è molto carino. Il locale rustico e semplice ma bellissimo.

Capitati x caso girando in moto, è stata una piacevole scoperta. Cordiali, locale informale, pulito, sembra di essere in un torrione. Mangiato bene cucina pizza dolce ..tutto molto buono. Spero di ritornarci. Complimenti

13/12/2023: We celebrated our wedding here. We fell in love with this place upon first visit. The mix of history and nature is perfect and its location in the main square of Fontanellato next to the Rocca makes it unique. The interiors are cared for down to the smallest details and the park is full of very suggestive corners. Alessandro and Betta followed us with great professionalism from the first moment and satisfied us with all our requests. Their long experience is evident at every moment and this reassured us a lot from the preparation phase to the wedding day. We trusted them with several choices (from wines to some dish proposals) and everything was perfect. Even on the day of the wedding, the coordination of the service was impeccable as was the collaboration with the wedding planner and the various suppliers. The rooms available for the night are fabulous as is the possibility of having breakfast with a wonderful view of the park. We will never stop thanking them for helping to make everything perfect and beyond our wildest expectations.

24/02/2024: Ristorante che offre una cucina molto varia, in menù sono presenti sia portate di terra che di mare,vegani e vegetariani. Location molto carina, di sera risulta molto romantica e ben riscaldata. Servizio ineccepibile, professionale e veloce. Molto apprezzati gli entree offerti dalla casa. Parcheggio comodo. Consigliatissimo.
19/02/2024: Excellent dinner, highly recommended. The discreet lighting makes the room very suggestive. Cozy and well heated environment. Wide choice of land and sea dishes. The welcome appetizers offered are also delicious. Professional service, excellent cuisine that was able to satisfy our needs. Ample parking.
