La Lanterna In San bartolomeo in galdo

19/04/2026: Unfortunately, I can't give more than 3 stars. The place is clean, the outdoor space is beautiful and suitable for children. We had the 35 euro set menu for lunch, which in my opinion wasn't worth more than 25 euros. The appetizer was very simple and not very generous. The risen pasta fritters were quite sour and almost gone bad, so who knows how many days they'd been keeping the dough in the fridge. There were two first courses to choose from: one with 4 cheeses and the other with fusilli alla bolognese. The pasta alla bolognese is out of the question. I was hoping to eat typical local dishes. The second course was not very generous and light, made with pork and vegetables. The dessert was a sort of tiramisu; I still don't quite understand what it was. There was no choice of dessert. But the worst thing was definitely the wine, 1/4 of it, anything but wine, wine diluted with water. We're from the Campi Flegrei area and we certainly didn't come to Benevento to be fooled by the wine. Definitely, given the price, which wasn't worth what we ate, and the quality of the food, I won't be returning.
