In the middle of a forest not far from the motorway toll booth we find a special place. Many welcoming rooms, a large grill and waiters with enormous Florentine steaks to grill. Lots of movement but never confusion, attentive service, impressive food in a rich menu for all tastes. Price appropriate to the quality. Very suitable for groups. To return

The place was a surprise, quaint and hospitable with friendly and knowledgeable staff. We took a 2kg Angus steak...a WONDER. It is NOT a cheap place but a fair one and then you pay for the quality very willingly

Excellent experience. Appetizer of crostini with livers, very tasty as I like them, 1.7kg of Florentine limousine, cooked rare, very good meat, grilled vegetables and potatoes, 2 bottles of house wine, one of water, a coffee and two bitters. .. €140 ... Well spent. Excellent service, courteous, friendly and not at all intrusive. Rustic place, really beautiful.

Sono stato qui su suggerimento di amici che erano venuti diversi anni fa. Purtroppo sono rimasto molto deluso. Servizio lento e approssimativo. Carne buona ma per il costo (sopra la media) non ne vale la pena..almeno a mio giudizio. Peccato, perché lo staff è gentilissimo, il locale carino e c’è una buona varietà di vini. Ad ogni modo non credo di tornarci, considerando soprattuto il rapporto qualità/prezzo.

13/05/2024: Real street food style. When you see a queue of 30min in front of a stall, that is a guarantee of quality. I ordered a plate of lampredotto instead of a typical panini. Juicy, chewy, and NOT salty. The green sauce and spicy sauce are both great. The roast potatoes is a must-try as well.
11/05/2024: Loved the tripe in tomato sauce. Make sure you get chilli sauce with it!

06/05/2024: On the advice of our daughter, we spent our first evening in Florence dining at Fonticine. Beautiful establishment, friendly welcome and timely advice from a French-speaking waiter. We just regretted the somewhat long wait, despite the restaurant being far from full and paying attention to the prices, particularly for the specialty, the matured rib of beef, cooked over the embers.
