Amazingly beautiful! We tried 8 different ice cream places before returning to Piero and continued to eat there during our entire holiday. Service amazing, high quality ingredients and good sizes. I always took the smallest cup with two ingredients. Must have (!!!) is the gattopardo, never had ice like this before.

Very kind and polite owner, always appreciated. When asked directly if they make 100% baseless ice cream... I don't receive a direct answer. Good, pandering, standardized ice cream.

While walking through the center of Lucca we tried this ice cream. Optimal ! Creamy and very tasty. The “Gattopardo”, “Caravaggio” and pinolata flavors are very good

Convinced by the reviews, we tasted Piero's ice cream. Nice place, atmosphere and good ingredients. A decent ice cream but in all honesty nothing exceptional and for the cost basic portions.

This was the best gelato we had in Italy. And the owner and his wife are delightful (kindly enduring our stumbly Italian). Not to be missed!

11/05/2024: We visited il Timone while in the area. We all ordered pizza and it was very good. The service was nice and helpful. Prices over 10 euros per head. Pleasant atmosphere. You have to look for parking on the street. Overall, we recommend it
