We arrived without booking and within an aperitif the long table was set for us in the first of the two rooms available in the restaurant, which is warm and welcoming. The second room, overlooking a small external window, is perhaps even more characteristic and intimate. The owners welcomed us with kindness and helpfulness and followed us in choosing the menu: we had tagliolini with pheasant ragù and a cheek stew, both very tasty and accompanied by excellent wine. We had a good time and honestly, despite some reviews perhaps saying so, I didn't really have the feeling of a place "for tourists", but rather it seemed like a place where the traveler can refresh himself and taste traditional local recipes with the certainty of being pampered. Thanks for the nice experience.

Oh my gosh this place is amazing! We were looking for something for dinner and this restaurant was suggested to us. We weren’t sure at first because the menu looked a little fancy for what we were looking for, but this was some of the best food I’ve had in a long time. The group of us had a couple pasta dishes including beef ragu, bean soup, and a few desserts. Everything was spectacular and probably the ragu might be the best pasta dish I’ve ever tasted. The environment was lovely and the staff was so kind to us. Definitely coming back for more! There is a free parking lot below the restaurant that made it easy to walk to as well.

Volendo vedere il presepe vivente, abbiamo deciso di ritornare a mangiare per l'ennesima volta in questo locale che frequentiamo da parecchi anni ormai. Abbiamo mangiato e bevuto splendidamente e grazie per il trattamento di favore che mi avete riservato, ritornerò perché mi fate sentire a casa. Bravissimi.

Cafe Casolani in Casole D’Elsa is a must-visit in Tuscany. The cozy ambiance, friendly staff, and impeccable food and service make it a standout. With amazing dishes and great wine, I highly recommend this charming restaurant.

22/05/2024: After a difficult rental car trip, I stopped by for a late dinner and had a chef's surprise 6-course meal (5 courses + dessert) at a Michelin-starred restaurant in a very small village called Bagno Vignoni, a mountainous hot spring village. It was a really satisfying dinner. Friendly staff and delicious food show that Michelin's choice is not wrong. It is a 5-minute walk from the parking lot on the outskirts of the village to the center, and the center of this village is unique in that it has a plaza filled with water like a swimming pool, and many guests staying at nearby farmhouses around the waterside plaza come here for dinner.
18/05/2024: I had wanted to eat at Osteria del Leone for years, on the advice of two dear friends, and I must say that the wait was worth it. Sometimes, it's the little things that make an experience positive and, in this case, starting from the oil and bread that I tried in the short wait, I understood that I was in the right place. I only ordered a seared pigeon with a seasonal side dish and chilli mustard, accompanied by some cooked seasonal vegetables, and I must say that it was all delicious. Next time, with more time, I will try other dishes. I recommend this restaurant to everyone.

22/05/2024: Fantastic place to eat and enjoy. Trattoria is great in every way. You can eat outside in the shade of a tree in summer. It doesn't really get any nicer than that. Top wines of course and very tasty, authentic cuisine. Be sure to reserve!
15/05/2024: I ate my first beef tartate and my first bistecca in Fonterutoli almost 12 years ago. This leaves a lasting impression on someone who loves Tuscany and wine ;-) A lot of time has passed since then and both I and the restaurant have changed and (possibly) developed further. You notice the international influence much more now than it did 12 years ago and I know that I have always found this a bit disturbing over the last few years. The restaurant has now found its feet again and offers a wonderful selection of dishes that are perfectly executed. The beef tartare is still very clean, but now with hazelnuts, which sounds a bit unexpected at first, but is really a great combination. My bottoni were filled with onions and had an absolutely balanced overall appearance. My partner's Fussiloni were with anchovies - not my thing at all - and very tasty according to him. At the end there was the usual tiramisu in its now fourth or fifth variant, I don't find that annoying, in fact I've always had variations of it in the last three Italian restaurants and I think it's absolutely great how creatively it's handled. The advice regarding the year was very good and you should really take advantage of it! You rarely have the opportunity to access such a selection.
