Fantastic place to eat and enjoy. Trattoria is great in every way. You can eat outside in the shade of a tree in summer. It doesn't really get any nicer than that. Top wines of course and very tasty, authentic cuisine. Be sure to reserve!

I ate my first beef tartate and my first bistecca in Fonterutoli almost 12 years ago. This leaves a lasting impression on someone who loves Tuscany and wine ;-)
A lot of time has passed since then and both I and the restaurant have changed and (possibly) developed further.
You notice the international influence much more now than it did 12 years ago and I know that I have always found this a bit disturbing over the last few years.
The restaurant has now found its feet again and offers a wonderful selection of dishes that are perfectly executed.
The beef tartare is still very clean, but now with hazelnuts, which sounds a bit unexpected at first, but is really a great combination. My bottoni were filled with onions and had an absolutely balanced overall appearance. My partner's Fussiloni were with anchovies - not my thing at all - and very tasty according to him.
At the end there was the usual tiramisu in its now fourth or fifth variant, I don't find that annoying, in fact I've always had variations of it in the last three Italian restaurants and I think it's absolutely great how creatively it's handled.
The advice regarding the year was very good and you should really take advantage of it! You rarely have the opportunity to access such a selection.

If you ever dine in this area you have to deal with hours and accessibility. This place had both and good food. We stopped by without a reservation and we were able to get a table for 2. Wine, food and service were great .

We went to this fantastic restaurant with windows and an amazing view.
Excellent service with friendly staff, as regards the menu I would have expected more choice for each course, but the dishes were very good and prepared and as regards the meat it was fine, but nothing exceptional compared to the restaurants previously visited.
Overall a good experience.

In un casolare di pietra color miele...con una terrazza bellissima.
Siamo all'Osteria di Fonterutoli..
Un posto incantevole, romantico e molto discreto.
Vini di alto livello.
Cucina gourmet.
Servizio impeccabile.
Ma partiamo dalla posizione della location.
Bellissima, tra vigneti e olivi tutta illuminata con un comodo parcheggio sul retro.
Davanti l'enoteca dov è possibile fare acquisti dei loro prodotti.
La prima sala arredata country chic con pareti bianco latte davanti alla cucina aperta con vetrate.
Sulla sinistra la piccola cantina allestita per le degustazioni.
Camminando si entra nella sala coperta e riscaldata con tavoli apparecchiati perfettamente.
Molto intimi ma adatti anche a gruppi ai quali vengono dati spazi più appartati.
I piatti sono di un livello altissimo di qualità ,creatività, sapori e contrasti che lasciano veramente senza parole.
Personale molto professionale ma soprattutto preparato e molto disponibile.
Molto simpatici i ragazzi in sala che ci hanno accolti sorridenti con qualche battuta Toscana che di questi tempi ci vuole.
Serata eccezionale.

We had an excellent wine experience in Fonterutoli. We started with a "food/wine tasting" in the osteria, where we had a 4 courses lunch paired with 4 glasses of wine. As starter we had a poached egg with parmesan cream, followed by paccheri with wild boar ragout and grilled capocollo. As dessert we got tiramisu. All dishes were paired with their own wines and we enjoyed a lot.
After lunch we visited their cellars and the guy that took care of our visit did an excellent job; at the end of the visit we tasted 5 more wines produced there and we liked them all.
