A rustic but welcoming place, the perfect refreshment for travelers in the Portettana-Pistoiese area!! We consumed very high quality cured meats and cheeses, honestly never found in other "restaurants" or "taverns". The owners are kind and welcoming. The service is slow... but that's okay, with the relaxed atmosphere of the Apennines. Not to be missed!!

We came to Italy with the promise that we would try the same restaurant twice so we would experience Italy better. This restaurant is the exception, 10/10 would recommend. Many selections of local wines.

First time I come to this Caciosteria, located on the Poretta state road, between the town of Pavana and Ponte alla Venturina. Informal environment, very kind management and attentive to your needs, where you can enjoy excellent appetizers with cured meats and cheeses, also good quality first and second courses, just the waiting time ⏳️ and the value for money, I think I'll go back.

Sicuramente nei dintorni è quanto di meglio c’è, anche se in termini assoluti possiamo definirlo buono ma non eccelso. Complessivamente comunque si mangia bene ed hanno un ottimo assortimento di formaggi, sebbene consiglierei loro di arricchirne la portata con qualcosa di più di una unica mostarda, nonché di dire due parole su ciascuno di essi.

Simple but very good local dishes. The staff was very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. The only flaw is the wine boxes near the tables which need to be sorted out. For the rest I highly recommend this place.
