Good, plentiful traditional Piedmontese food. Well-prepared home cooking. Local trattoria. Friendly and welcoming staff. You can take home extra portions for an additional fee. Lunch with friends in a homely atmosphere.

Excellent service, helpful and professional staff. The food was delicious, we had it for lunch, and the lasagna was wonderful! We came back in the evening to try the pizza, and I have to say it was absolutely stunning! The desserts were equally delicious! We'll definitely be back!!! Lara and Ale from Venice!

24/06/2026: We went to this restaurant for dinner while vacationing in Cesana and wanted to explore it based on the reviews. Overall, we had a good time; the quality of the food was generally satisfactory. I'd recommend the zucchini gnocchi, which were truly special. I found the appetizer, a purple potato flan the size of a crème caramel, costing €11, to be overpriced. We found the portions to be very small for the price. That's why I'm not giving it a top rating.
18/04/2026: It's always a pleasure to go to Cantina degli Alpini for the welcome, friendliness, and attentiveness of the entire staff. The quality-price ratio is unreasonable; in my opinion, it's deteriorated dramatically in recent years. The quality and deliciousness of the ingredients are certainly there, but the portions are far below the minimum required to classify a dish as "one portion." It's easy to spend €70/80 a person and still go home hungry. It's a shame, because it really wouldn't take much.

01/06/2026: Along the banks of the Po River, with a truly enchanting terrace overlooking the river. A historic restaurant where you can eat everything at an excellent value, from pizza to first and second courses of meat and seafood. A place that does a lot of good work: there were at least three birthday parties, one of which was in the basement room, and it was a great atmosphere. Friendly and dynamic staff.
