Based on the descriptions we went to Al Bagatto. The ambience is appealing, the staff friendly, the food unfortunately fell far short of expectations: in the "Storico" menu, the troubles and first course were very good, but the main course was completely tasteless. The dessert was delicious, instead of the recommended blueberries there were 7-8(!) red currants and the portion was manageable. You can have a more delicious meal in Trieste for less money.

I had dinner at the Bagatto restaurant. The environment is nice and welcoming. The service is punctual and precise. The dining room staff is very courteous. The cuisine is good. The raw material is excellent. The prices are excessive in my opinion. I found the choice to use foie gras frankly disgraceful. I was careful not to make any comments in the room as it would have been very inelegant, considering that, moreover, the aforementioned ingredient, the cause of atrocious suffering, was offered to me free as an entrée. I hope that management chooses to refrain in the future from using a food that causes unprecedented suffering to geese.

Inspired, sometimes with wild combinations, but very tasty. I was particularly impressed by the risotto. The wine selection was also very good and the service was professional. Overall just under 4.5 - therefore 5 points

Classic little restaurant. Didn't do the tasting menu so can't properly rate the chef...but the Rossini steak was done perfectly.

Trattoria Al Porto Industriale

05/02/2024: I have been there several times in the past years, both for drinks and coffee. I also ate and nibbled. Positive impression. Unfortunately, I never tried the rooms: I was always alone or "badly" accompanied. ;)

22/07/2023: I am a regular guest of this place, it is a unique place in the city and also very characteristic due to the original temperament of the owner. The food is simple and excellent, the wine plentiful, the price for what you eat and drink is unbeatable. Here it is a security but you need to have character to appreciate and rely totally on the Owner, enjoying his friendliness and the beauty of the view. Those who complain, in my opinion, have character problems. Recommended for dinners with friends and parties.
