04/03/2024: As soon as you enter you have the impression of going back about thirty years, the furnishings hark back to the 80s and this could perhaps be a deterrent for a young clientele. It must be said, however, that at the same time it is clear that the fish is very fresh, and I add expertly cooked, we ate wonderful appetizers and baked fish, I left full but light. The price is a little expensive but the extreme quality of the raw materials is undoubtedly worth it.

24/05/2024: Da Benito e Gilberto is probably the best Italian restaurant in Rome. Amazing! Just fyi, it is family owned and the majority of those who dine there is Italian. Though the server did not speak much English, one of the workers did. I think she was either the manager or hostess. Either way, I was so pleasantly surprised by this place. We did not have a reservation so they took our name and gave us a time to come back. We walked around the area for a bit then returned. They were so friendly and the food was out of this world amazing! The seafood is so fresh, better than anything I’ve had in North America. We had the clams and muscles in a garlic white wine sauce which was fantastic! The sauce was so good I could eat it like a soup!!!!!! Then I had the sardine stuffed pasta, which the lady said was her favorite and a side salad. The lettuce is unlike anything I’ve had in the US. It’s so flavorful and good and the tomatoes are garden fresh. So sweet and juicy and amazing! Then for desert they were out of the one I had initially picked, so the server recommended this little cake. This was my birthday dinner and boy was I impressed. The cake was like this little soufflé. It was so hot and sweetly fragrant. When I used my baby spoon to cut into it, it was like a lava cake only better than anything I’ve ever had. The cake part was really good. Not too sweet or anything. It was the right amount of everything, really. Not too dry or overcooked. Perfection. Truly. It had just the slightest caramelized texture on the outside, but soft and delicious at the same time. Inside, a hot sort of custard spilled out once I cut through it. Together was magic! I’ve never had anything like it!!!! I could eat there again anytime and be absolutely happy. My husband had the lobster pasta and was really pleased, then for dessert, he got the coffee gelato which was also amazing.

18/05/2024: The carpaccio-style fish starters are good and the fish soup with pasta is excellent. Now the pasta is too al dente (much more so than in most Italian restaurants). The waitress is aware but does not see fit to specify when ordering. The service is deplorable, pressure to order the wine - Gewurtz too young in fact - arrival of dishes out of order, for one too quickly and for another too late, starter with main course when the others have finished. They change the fish ordered without warning that it is based on arrival.

27/03/2024: Ristorante individuato su maps senza nessuna segnalazione di amici o conoscenti anche perché sono di Firenze. Ho trovato esattamente quello che cercavo ovvero un ristorante romano con piatti della tradizione e così é stato. Inoltre ambiente familiare personale gentile. Da consgiare vivamente.

26/04/2024: I often come to eat at this restaurant. All the food cooked is really high quality, whatever you get is delicious. I recommend the scampi cream risotto, my favorite dish! The desserts are also good, entirely made by them. Friendly and always attentive staff. Advised!!

11/05/2024: Clienti da anni, avevamo sentore di un calo,ma abbiamo voluto riprovare,conferma questa sera...deludente Tempi lunghissimi, portate sbagliate nei tempi 4 antipasti trasformati in 3 e il quarto come secondo. Il menu riporta piatti che non hanno....magari sostituitelo se vecchio. La titolare saccente disattenta e zero attenzione per cliente...al limite del maleducato.

26/03/2024: Quiet place where you can also talk as well as eat like at home. Portions and quality of dishes above average, prices in line with other restaurants. The service is carried out by a nice and kind person. We will definitely be back.

19/05/2024: Elegant and very particular place, impeccable service but the dishes are not adequate for the price which is excessive. The fish is generally tasteless or all the same, even with raw you don't taste the taste of the sea.

10/05/2024: I can only give this restaurant 3 stars out of 5, because although the food was excellent and its presentation very well done, I had the unpleasant experience of having to deal with the person at the checkout, a man in his fifties and slightly overweight (I'm only describing him so that no one else is accused of his shortcomings), who, when I approached to pay the bill, looked at me with evident discontent as if he was looking at who knows what (I was dressed normally) and didn't even have the courtesy or training to ask me anything about the food, if everything was ok, or anything else. He simply glared at me as I paid the bill, and promptly said hello to the next person in line. This is bad behavior for a restaurant, among other things where I am paying a bill that is 80 euros per person. A big flaw, a shame because the restaurant had proven to be classy in terms of food and environment. Staff manners and kindness are important elements that can make or break an experience.

01/01/2024: Last day of 2023, we have our dinner here. Spaghetti tastes very good, and the pizza is amazing,thin and crispy. I’ll definitely come back if I travel to Rome next time.
