31/03/2024: Elegant and particular place Friendly and professional waiters. An additional space with salt, pepper and oil has been added to the tables, and this is no small detail. We had an artichoke salad that was a little too expensive in our opinion. Milanese cutlet, slightly dry but good and with very crunchy breading 😋 Risotto with ossobuco: equally good but it is not a real risotto, but a revisited recipe. Good and quality food. We'll be back

04/04/2024: The best culinary experience ever is the one that makes you happy and in this place there is happiness that is demonstrated with the courtesy and professionalism of the owner and the love for cooking of the team. We took the Milanese cutlet and the rustin negaa (predecessor of the more famous ossobuco) with Milanese risotto: more than excellent. Thanks again to the chef, the kitchen staff and the owner.

02/04/2024: Review that comes a little late as I went a year ago. The food is excellent and the menu varied. Normal restaurant atmosphere. High costs for the neighborhood average. I went with a large group and had some problems when it came to the bill, with some group offer proposals not kept.

06/04/2024: High expectations for this restaurant, all disregarded. Apart from the nice atmosphere inside, the food turned out to be of poor quality. Tasteless fresh tagliatelle (perhaps not even very fresh), veal cutlet Milanese where the flavor of butter prevailed over that of the meat (inedible), very acidic lemon sorbet. Everything on the menu is very heavy, with little attention to intolerant people (dairy products almost everywhere). Exaggerated prices. Never again

06/04/2024: Don't have too many expectations about the restaurant just because it is highly advertised. The food is good (but not special) and the waiters are all very kind, but the place itself disappointed me a lot... maybe I had the wrong evening, but you couldn't understand anything from the noise that was there, despite the reservation we had to wait (at least) 15 minutes in line outside the restaurant. Maybe I shouldn't have had all these expectations, but my experience doesn't make me want to go back...

10/05/2024: La Piola offers authentic food from Lombardy. Real delicious homemade food. The risottos are a delicacy. The lentils are amazing! Try also the cotoletta. Great options of wines. Davide, my friend, will host you with open arms.

10/05/2024: Die Trattoria wurde mir sehr empfohlen, also bin ich für ein Abendessen durch die ganze Stadt gefahren. Durch die Empfehlung waren meine Erwartungen entsprechend hoch. Das Essen war sehr gut, ich habe aber schon in einigen Trattorien in Mailand ähnlich gut gegessen, die Portionsgrössen sind ordentlich. Enttäuschend fand ich den Service. Während 2 Herren im Service (Inhaber & Sohn?) an den Nebentischen vor Charme und guter Laune bei offensichtlichen Stammgästen nur so sprühten, wurde ich keines Blickes gewürdigt. Hauptsächlich hatte ich Kontakt mit 2 Damen, die sich nicht einmal ein Lächeln abringen konnten und mit eher gelangweiltem Gesicht durch den Raum gingen. Das hat leider keinen Wohlfühlfaktor. Sehr schade!
