You absolutely must go there, you don't talk about pici, you eat them!

We ate there for lunch with friends so we were able to try several things on the menu. As a starter we shared a Tuscan appetizer and livers with fennel (they would be a second course but we took them as an appetizer), both very good. Then they made themselves available to make us a trio of first courses, all based on pici but with three different sauces: with garlic, anchovies with pesto and bread crumbs and with wild boar ragù. All three were good, I preferred the second among the first. Advised!

Very familiar place, excellent food for quality/price ratio. I will definitely return, creme brulee worth 10, found by chance. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT

Siamo stati qua in Gennaio, una bella sorpresa ... ma entro subito nel dettaglio. Trattoria vera e genuina a Sarteano, si sta benissimo e si mangia stra bene . Stra consiglio! Come si capisce dal nome è una trattoria aperta dal tempo delle guerre coloniali, circa un secolo fa. Piccola spartana, essenziale, decorata con réclame di gelati degli anni '60: se cercate la location perfetta non è il vostro caso. Ma mangiare..che buono! Buoni i pici coll'aglione, le tagliatelle sul cinghiale, la ribollita, la trippa, il peposo, condito dall'entusiarmo e dalla simpatia del proprietario. Per noi è stata proprio una bella serata!
