Delicious food, perfect ingredients, nice service in a cozy place ☺️

Well... what can I say, ABSOLUTELY EXCELLENT!! We spent two nights in Castiglione d'Orcia and had dinner twice here, in this wonderful family-run restaurant! The owner, Mariateresa, was able to give us excellent advice on both the wine and the first courses! The friendliness and kindness of brother Francesco accompanied us for the entire duration of the dinners. But the icing on the cake was the welcome from Nina, the owner of the restaurant who always welcomes you immediately with her smile as soon as you enter. So what can I say, try it and let us absolutely advise you!

What can I say...we hugged the cook at the end of the meal! Overture with cured meats and cheeses that reassures you about the choice of place. Small but good. Fiorentina up to par and of excellent workmanship. Ricotta mousse that takes you back to the cradle with rattles. When the family that manages everything is solid, friendly and welcoming, the result is a given. Applause!

The environment is as welcoming as the owner. Appetizer of various bruschettas (recommended), Pinci all'aglione, Pinci alla Nana, desserts and a delicious Nobile di Montepulciano of which the young and talented owner did us a great courtesy. All very good, excellent service, nice place

We have lunch in this super cute and cozy restaurant. The management of the restaurant is familiar, there is a truly harmonious and cheerful atmosphere. The staff is attentive and very nice. Exceptional people. The products are homemade, which is a feature that we really appreciated. The pici, jams and sauces (homemade) were exceptional. They left you with wonderful flavors, very delicate and above all they didn't overlap with the others. You can see that they put their heart into what they do. It was all delicious and not heavy at all. We were very happy! We will definitely be back! Highly recommended!!

Very kind and everything very good

Excellent food in one of the still uncontaminated places of the Val d'Orcia. Off the beaten track, you still discover an authentic place that offers traditional cuisine but with many creative twists. When we went with a group of friends we chose both more traditional dishes such as pici with duck ragù (excellent), tomato soup (served with excellent pecorino sauces on the side) or stewed wild boar, and dishes of the day like the suckling pig with red fruits. I recommend letting yourself be guided about the wine because the staff is really knowledgeable. But the playful touch that we liked most was the possibility of assembling our own platter of croutons for an appetizer. For what we ate, for the excellent service, and for the general standard, the price was more than adequate. We'll be back soon! Wait for us!

I went to Cassero last week for my father's birthday. We had a great time and ate like God. We will be back for sure!
