We had dinner last Saturday at San Desiderio on the recommendation of a friend and we were more than satisfied.
Clean, elegant and welcoming place. Fast, attentive service and excellent food quality.
The first courses were outstanding and the pork cheek was so tender it melted in your mouth.
More than honest account.
We absolutely recommend it to anyone passing through Siena.
We will definitely be back

Beautiful restaurant in an old historic building. The decor is beautiful and pays homage to the famous horse races in Siena.
It's an impressive menu and the portions were well sized. We went for lunch and had three courses and wine.
The bill was €91 and the staff were all pleasant. Service was well spaced out for the 3 courses and we had time to enjoy between each.

Arriving at this restaurant by chance and looking at the reviews I let myself be tempted. I was disappointed by the service (the boss was friendly but one of the waitresses was not very pleasant) and taste-wise by the dish (Pici con pesto where I didn't find the flavors I was hoping for), as soon as I finished my plate we made me pay and understand that I had to leave by clearing my table while I was still there. Not even the possibility of ordering dessert!
The prices are excessive for the quantity (you have to pay for a carafe of water), the toast with olive oil that accompanies the dish was very good.
Too bad because the setting was promising...

Small restaurant in the heart of the historic center of Siena, a stone's throw from the cathedral.
We were welcomed very well and equally recommended by the owner (I think). Being in Tuscany we wanted to try the specialty Fiorentina and we were very satisfied.
Very tender and cooked rare, the baked potatoes are also good, with a perfect crust and the bruschetta served with excellent quality oil.
We will be back to try other dishes as well which looked beautiful.

Locale molto carino e caratteristico a 2 passi dal duomo.
Menù molto vario carne/pesce...tutto molto buono
Servizio e simpatia Ok...ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo.

Il ristorante si trova vicino al Duomo, è stato ricavato da una chiesa sconsacrata con mattoni a vista, molto bello e accogliente. Ho optato per dei piatti di cucina classica toscana: bruschetta con il pomodoro, pici senesi e tagliata, tutto molto buono. Le porzioni non sono abbondanti e il rapporto qualità/prezzo è giusto.
