The place is truly evocative. The vaults and brick columns are beautiful. The hosts are welcoming and attentive. I pointed out that I am allergic to chilli pepper and they made me a separate appetizer even though it was a busy day. Even the first courses were made express without chilli pepper. The fish was very fresh and cooked well. Even though the place was full, the service was impeccable with the right timing. I will definitely go back. The price is also really great

We had lunch at L'Ancora with 9 people, booking at the last minute after they canceled our table at another restaurant. We stayed very well.
The food is tasty and typical of Livorno, the courses are not very abundant but the service is fast so with the possibility of reordering and tasting more things. The bill is also really interesting: 30 euros per person for 3 courses each including water, wine, dessert and coffee (Livornese style).
All in a suggestive, welcoming and relaxing location, served by super friendly and approachable staff.
A beautiful discovery.

My goodness, everything is good! Taste: Risotto with squid ink, Seafood carbonara (with praise), Seafood risotto, Fried calamari and Cacciucco. Closing with chocolate flan, strawberry tiramisu and lemon sorbet. Then a Ponce alla Livornese offered on the house. We will definitely be back!
