17/05/2024: I had lunch in this historic trattoria in Ancona, but unfortunately I wasn't particularly impressed. The appetizers I tasted didn't impress me: 2 croutons with 1 anchovy and 3 slices of smoked salmon with spinach leaves and raw peas. As for the first courses, the tagliatelle with squid ragù were in broth....it was enough to stir and add more sauce - which had very little fish - and the tagliatella didn't seem like fresh pasta to me. The homemade bark (like long cavatelli) is good with a really (too) simple sauce of anchovies and sweet and sour onion. I didn't have a craving for dessert... with a mini bottle of Verdicchio we spent €30 each. Friendly staff.
