My friend told me this is the best restaurant in Begur and I think they might be right. The food was absolutely exceptional. Sort of humble but always with a twist and really delicious ingredients and beautiful presentation. The staff were all delightful and friendly and the atmosphere was great. We sat at the bar which I normally hate but even the bar stools were comfortable and we had excellent service.

Excellent fish. Few dishes but carefully prepared and very fresh. Gennaro is an excellent host. Typical and authentic place with a few tables. Highly recommended.

So let's start with the negatives, because in the reviews most ghosts fail.
>"In winter it is cold and the dining areas are not worthy of a restaurant" - you must NOT forget that you are not sitting in a restaurant but in a fish shop! -> In return you don't get a standard 0815 menu but rather changing daily delicacies
>"Too expensive" for me, the reviews mainly refer to the raw starters - ok then, leave it and eat the warm dishes, then you might be able to taste the attention to detail better. Of course, raw dishes are not cooked but “just” prepared but that is also super good!
Now my impression:
Cool reception but when it started, there were fireworks, the boss and his cook responded to all requests. If you want to drink a wine that he doesn't have, he quickly comes from the shop on the corner... but his tasty wines Run down like oil anyway, even vegetarian menus were accepted in such a way that you didn't have to have a bad conscience...
Food: amazing! Super tasty! Thoughtful!
Conclusion: If you often enjoy fresh raw fish, you can skip the fish platter, which is apparently a "signature dish" of the restaurant, or just enjoy the quality of the products, because we were the only ones playing with side dishes that I personally don't understand (avocado, mango, pineapple, kiwi )
And the rest is awesome!
