Osteria La Rava e la fava In Sarezzano

20/05/2024: Pretty good food and service. Quality / quantity / price ratio: a little expensive.

15/05/2024: Given the decades of "good reputation" this place has in the city, I would have expected something better. The location is a little dated and I would say with an uncomfortable entrance. The room was quiet but a little cramped. At lunch on a weekday, with around twenty customers, two full hours to have three dishes from a tasting menu (therefore a ready line), seemed excessive to me. I don't like the choice of a flute for a classic method such as entrée, certainly a diamond-shaped glass is more suitable for enhancing the bubbles. I would say the starters were good, even if the cream cheese spread was a brick at first, as was the agnolotto, while the rice was decidedly overcooked and cold. The veal with tuna sauce provided as a second course is a bit anonymous, but good. My dessert was a bunèt, but I assure you that despite the amaretto crunch, there was nothing that reminded me of the typical dessert. The Vinchio Vaglio that accompanied this menu was disappointing, I found it matured/oxidized, certainly not fresh from the bottle and/or bag, in fact we ordered a Nebbiolo a la carte. Upon requesting a sparkling wine at the end, we were served a flute of rosé prosecco, without gas! We are not. Price/quality ratio I think a little exaggerated. I don't feel like recommending it nor do I think I'll return, with regret because the owner was polite and confidential.
