Osteria del Gusto In Siena

Beautiful Restaurant, really friendly staff and the most amazing chicken I’ve ever had! Everything else was really good as well!

We were just passing by late in the evening and decided to have some wine, but stayed for dinner. The staff were very attentive without being intrusive. Very cool food recommendations. We took homemade wine and it was very tasty. The pasta was also top notch. The atmosphere is very friendly and homely. We'll definitely come again. Thank you! P.S. the prices are very affordable!

This is a jewel of a restaurant. It is less than 100 feet away from the Cathedral Santa Maria Assunta. We were warmly greeted as soon as we walked in. Interior is nicely appointed. Service was genuine and friendly. Food was outstanding. The Gaspacho was light and flavorful, and the Burrata cheese on top was pleasant surprise. The pasta and entree selections were outstanding. I highly recommend them.

One word after one week in Tuscany: AMAZING!!! Service and food was just great, people were smiling Congrats to all staff! Strongly recommended!

Excellent restaurant in the area of the Siena Duomo. It offers a menu of fresh locally products at a good price. Superb service and great ambience. Highly recommended.

Had a delicious meal at Osteria del Gusto. Pici with zucchini flowers was delicious. Even better was the spaghetti carbonara with zucchini. Main dishes and side dishes taste delicious. Nice people in the service.

We looked for a slightly special place to have dinner and we loved it. The very cozy atmosphere, the very friendly and close service, and the extraordinary food. We really wanted to have the “Bistecca alla Fiorentina” and they did not disappoint us: the meat was of very good quality and they gave it a very good point. It was worth it. If we return to Siena, we will visit them again.

Beautiful and well-kept restaurant on the street behind the Siena Cathedral! The interiors are a beautiful blend of modern and ancient with the exposed brick ceiling! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and the staff helpful, helpful, friendly and polite!!! The food is really excellent, simple menu with Tuscan and Sienese specialities!! The meat tartare and the sliced ​​meat were sublime...among the best I've ever eaten! Really congratulations! The other dishes were also well prepared and the speed in serving them was very good! My wife and I visited Osteria del Gusto in June 2023. I thought I had written a review then but I couldn’t find it on TripAdvisor, so decided to submit one. After visiting Siena Cathedral and spending quite a lot of time walking up and down the stairs, we were eagerly looking for a nice place to rest our feet and have an early dinner. We looked around and found Osteria del Gusto, which is situated in one of the side alleys near Siena Cathedral. The restaurant had not opened for business yet as it was before 6.00pm. We wandered around the area for a short while then decided to return (we were too tired) and asked them for a table to order some drinks. The staff was very kind to let us in. We ordered from the ala carte menu an octopus salad, a grilled chicken, a pork wrapped with bacon. All the dishes tasted really good especially the grilled chicken. My wife loved the pork dish. Probably because we were too hungry! We had a table by the window and it was fun just to watch people rushing to the cathedral and also people rushing home after work. The staff gave us good recommendations and for dessert we went with their recommended tiramisu. Overall it was a very enjoyable meal. The staff were very patient and we took their advice on the dishes to order. We would love to dine at Osteria del Gusto again when we get a chance to revisit Siena.

Appena entri ti indicano dove e’ il bagno anche se non lo avevi chiesto. Non ti danno tempo di sederti e toglierti il apporto che da i piedi ti chiedono cosa gradisci da mangiare. Poca scelta nel menu. I nostri primi erano scotti. Nulla di eccezionale.
