Stopped here for lunch as I needed something to refresh me and the crowds near the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain were going to be crazy. Yes, you can probably get better by spending less elsewhere, but you’re between two tourist traps, so sometimes you have to take what you can find. The service was prompt and the place is nice and shady so ideal on a hot day. There’s also a water fountain near the entrance. Cacio and Pepe was pretty good when compared to others.

A Neapolitan place right in the center of Rome. An excellent choice both in terms of menu and friendliness of the staff. Generous portions and very tasty dishes, perfect and light fried dishes. The Amalfi soup is recommended, really delicious. Also perfect for families with children! Nice atmosphere

I came here with my class of 15 because we were on a school trip and nobody was overwhelmed, the service was extremely friendly and the food was phenomenal. When our teacher asked us at the end of the trip what our favourite restaurant was, many of us named this restaurant.

Very good restaurant, a bit of a break from the hustle and bustle, it's nice! Pretty dishes, tasty dishes. Fair prices considering what is practiced in Rome!

Siamo stati per quattro giorni nella capitale e siamo andati per pranzo in questo locale nel centro storico vicino a fontana di trevi. Il locale è in stile lift e presenta piatti vari della cucina campana è laziale. Abbiamo scelto dei primi : spaghetti alla nerano per nostri figlio e due carbonare per noi 2. Tutto buono Ma niente di esaltante. Prezzi da Roma centro ossia 16 euro per un primo che secondo me è un po’ troppo. Personale bengalese o indiano molto gentile e attento a qualsiasi richiesta. Tutto sommato lo consiglio per il tipo di locale , la gentilezza e la scelta proposta.

Da Benito e Gilberto al Falco

24/05/2024: Da Benito e Gilberto is probably the best Italian restaurant in Rome. Amazing! Just fyi, it is family owned and the majority of those who dine there is Italian. Though the server did not speak much English, one of the workers did. I think she was either the manager or hostess. Either way, I was so pleasantly surprised by this place. We did not have a reservation so they took our name and gave us a time to come back. We walked around the area for a bit then returned. They were so friendly and the food was out of this world amazing! The seafood is so fresh, better than anything I’ve had in North America. We had the clams and muscles in a garlic white wine sauce which was fantastic! The sauce was so good I could eat it like a soup!!!!!! Then I had the sardine stuffed pasta, which the lady said was her favorite and a side salad. The lettuce is unlike anything I’ve had in the US. It’s so flavorful and good and the tomatoes are garden fresh. So sweet and juicy and amazing! Then for desert they were out of the one I had initially picked, so the server recommended this little cake. This was my birthday dinner and boy was I impressed. The cake was like this little soufflé. It was so hot and sweetly fragrant. When I used my baby spoon to cut into it, it was like a lava cake only better than anything I’ve ever had. The cake part was really good. Not too sweet or anything. It was the right amount of everything, really. Not too dry or overcooked. Perfection. Truly. It had just the slightest caramelized texture on the outside, but soft and delicious at the same time. Inside, a hot sort of custard spilled out once I cut through it. Together was magic! I’ve never had anything like it!!!! I could eat there again anytime and be absolutely happy. My husband had the lobster pasta and was really pleased, then for dessert, he got the coffee gelato which was also amazing.
12/05/2024: First time at this place. Very pleasant experience, the place is small, few tables, both inside and outside. The service was excellent, I really appreciated the open kitchen open onto the dining room. Dishes prepared with care, very fresh raw materials... here we only eat fish. We tried the appetizers (both raw and cooked excellent), the first courses, fried calamari and prawns and a mix of desserts... all excellent. I particularly recommend the pasta and sea beans...a dish to lose your head in. The portions are right, don't expect huge plates of stuff... The bill is adequate for the freshness of the food. Recommended restaurant.
