Hotel Certosa di Maggiano In Siena

I was in this enchanting place during the Easter holidays. Wonderful location surrounded by greenery and not far from the centre, an oasis of peace! Welcoming, professional, helpful staff. Delicious food. I absolutely recommend it!

Had the most amazing post-wedding lunch at this gorgeous property. The grounds are breathtaking. The service was impeccable. The food was divine. Cannot recommend more.

Only two words to describe this enchanted place: HOME and FAMILY. We booked a few nights here because the place is strategically close to various sites to visit without traveling too many kilometres, however... instead it is such a relaxing place that we almost felt sorry to leave, so much so that we spent 2 days only in Certosa. Upon arrival we were greeted with a welcome drink in the beautiful garden while a hairdresser unloaded our luggage and our dog was offered excellent fresh water. The staff, all of them, are exceptional: kind, friendly, prepared and very sweet with our dog who received lots of caresses and played with the ball with the sommelier and another boy. At the reception they are very attentive and ready to satisfy any request. The environment is relaxing, elegant, very refined, there is not a detail out of place. In the room we found a "welcome home" note with biscuits and taralli and this alone warms the heart. Very comfortable, soft bed, sofa with goose feathers. You can tell it was designed by an architect. It's an all-round 4-star hotel, complete with everything (slippers, shower kit, a real hairdryer, needle and thread, shaving and make-up removal kit, bathrobe, things you don't always find). Breakfast is rich and abundant, with sweet, savory, hot and cold. Even though we spent 6 days, we weren't able to try everything but the red fruit bread and grandma's tart are amazing! We have used the evening cuisine more than once and I must say that it is worth it: the dishes are very refined, gourmet, truly delicious and the combinations proposed with the wines are spot on! The sommeliers are good and the barman is also good with the cocktails! There isn't a person on the staff who hasn't touched my heart. A huge thank you goes to the princess and her prince Vieri who welcomed us and Nymeria with extreme care, providing her with a kennel to let her sleep with us and giving us the freedom to let her run around in the splendid and immense garden looked after to perfection by two very sweet boys. The corner dedicated to the lemon grove and the one to the swimming pool with the beds available under the porch are truly fabulous. There is also a tennis court and a very cozy deconsecrated chapel which can be reached by crossing the olive grove. I fell in love with this place and I intend to return every year to celebrate our wedding anniversaries! I was so sad to leave, it felt like I was leaving home. Thank you Vieri for the affection and understanding shown towards Nymeria. Thanks for the ball you gave her (and thanks for the oil!) and thanks for making me more aware: I'm following your advice to trust her...! We hope to see you again next spring!

We enjoyed our stay thoroughly. The room was of the highest standards. The bed was to die for. Soft and wrapping you. Felt like you don't want to get up. The place gives you a very homey feeling. It has its luxury and feeling cosy at the same time. The breakfast was of the highest standards. Great and fresh variety. The staff was helpful and kid through and through. We had a great time and won't hesitate returning to this hotel in the future.

Gorgeous property that’s restored with love. Every details are well thought out - we had 2 rooms and both were unique and beautiful. Very comfortable beds. Breakfast was fantastic! Loved the red library room - it transports you somewhere fantastic. Will be back and will recommend to our friends coming to Tuscany!

Very nice place and very nice people, i recomand this place

Stayed here in April 2024 and was very happy with the experience. We spend a lot of time in Tuscany and we wanted something near Siena, but not within the gates. This was perfect. It’s the perfect place to explore the region. As for the hotel, the rooms, the grounds, and the common spaces are all great. The breakfast, which was included, was excellent. Highly recommend.

Next level hospitality. Breathtaking views. An amazing team of hosts who truly make you feel special during your stay... What can I say? I LOVED THIS PLACE. My boyfriend and I stayed at La Certosa di Maggiano for 3 nights, and it was my favorite hotel during our two-week trip in Italy. The moment we walked in we received the warmest welcome that felt like a home coming. The rooms were incredibly spacious with more than enough built-in closets to house and hang all of our belongings. The interior design honors the art of preserving time through it's restored architecture, yet gives the property a vivacious voice through pops of modern art pieces and color. There's something interesting to see and or relax into, around almost every corner. From the perspective of a food photographer and a Michelin Star chef, we really enjoyed dining at their restaurant and sipping cocktails at their bar. Both experiences are intimate and rooted in an expression that felt uniquely theirs. Needless to say, we'll be back.. and I can't wait.

Staying at Certosa Di Maggiano was the highlight of our trip. The hospitality was unmatched- everyone who worked here was attentive, extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast was incredible and fresh. The wine, appetizers and dinners were incredible too. I should mention that we were sick while here and the kitchen made food to order for us while we were on the mend. The room, views, amenities and property were beautiful. I can’t say enough good things about Certosa di Maggiano

Old monastery from the 14th century. A wonderful location, great atmosphere and extremely friendly and helpful staff. In addition to the quiet location, there is also a wonderful restaurant. A little gem in Siena.
