Castello Vicchiomaggio In Greve in chianti

Without a doubt a beautiful experience, the castle is very well kept, a very well-kept garden... the super panoramic view. Excellent tasting, wines and explanation! It would be fantastic to be able to do it at the castle too! Overall a nice experience

A proper family business with great service, food and wine. We spent two days here as part of our honeymoon. It is a very beautiful location and we were truly made feel welcome from the very moment we arrived. Everybody is really friendly and helpful and always available for a little chat. The wine that is made here is very delicious and the food was absolutely amazing. No complaints whatsoever.

The castle of Vicchiomaggio is located about 20km from Florence and perfect for organizing a tasting, the castle is large and well maintained. the visit to the cellar is well organized although the tasting could be managed better. It is advisable to book in advance.

This is the most beautiful place on planet Earth. We stayed here for 1 day to celebrate my husband’s birthday and didn’t regret it at all. quiet, calm, the views are very beautiful, the service and staff are very friendly and polite, the breakfasts are delicious - everything is fresh! They even offered us to choose the room we liked best. The room is very spacious and it feels like you are in a real castle! The view from the window was incredible. There is also a wonderful restaurant and delicious Chianti Classico wine. At every stage of our stay, the staff took care of us like family. Thanks a lot!

Pranzo perfetto, atmosfera e castello belissimo

We had a wonderful stay at Castello Vicchiomaggio earlier this month in November! Everyone we interacted with from the front desk, to restaurant to wine tour was incredibly friendly. The views from the property are stunning, and it's just a short drive to Greve. The food in the restaurant and the Chianti Classico produced onsite are excellent as well! We'd definitely recommend Castello Vicchiomaggio and are looking forward to staying again!

Il castello di Vicchiomaggio si erge nel Chianti , vicino Greve ,su di un altura , la vista e la posizione eccellente , rimasti un po' delusi dal ristorante , piatti nella media ma migliorabili e direi da semplificare , ambiente cosi' cosi' uno stanzone con poco charme , facile da raggiungere , meno di un' ora da Firenze.

Déception pour le repas du midi avec des plats qui manquaient de saveur et une présentation sur l‘assiette plutôt triste comparée à la beauté du lieu. Dommage, des locaux nous ont indiqué avoir très bien mangé là bas par le passé.

Our first winery in Chianti, this winery is highly rated. We had reserved ahead of time and had a small group for the tour. We drove our own car up to the vineyards with a pretty view and then drove a short distance to the hotel where we had a tour of the cask room and then back to the welcome center for a wine tasting in a small, plain room. Bread pieces served with olive oil with the tastings. Cecilia was a nice guide around the winery and through our guided tastings.
