2 ⭐⭐Michelin restaurant in the center of Rubiera. Elegant and vintage venue with large rooms. Traditional local menu. The handmade tortellini are excellent and the boiled meat accompanied by a glass of red wine is fabulous. For dessert, try the almond semifreddo.
Friendly and helpful staff. Better to book a week in advance especially if you have lunch or dinner on the weekend

I went today for a family lunch in this Italian excellence. Morel lasagna (house specialty) and fillet with balsamic vinegar (produced on site) truly exceptional! Even the side dishes with a note of merit to the roasted potatoes... an environment where you can breathe history and every detail is perfect, cared for and refined. There is a big one however (at least today) desserts definitely not at the level of the place, service (also excellent) and the rest of the courses.
I come from a family of pastry chefs with over 50 years of experience so I am certainly influenced by this but today the dessert trolley consisted of a bavarois based on pavesini, a chocolate pudding, crème caramel, trifle... rice cake (it looked like a rice flan soaked in egg and sugar and perhaps sambuca) and a sort of sacher (simple sponge cake glazed with chocolate without anything else... vegetable cream aside)... everything is perfect right down to the desserts, definitely not at the level of everything the rest…

Had lunch in this restaurant from times gone by, I had eaten here with my father 40 years ago, everything unchanged and perfect service with trolleys, excellent quality of food, large, round tables spaced apart, atmosphere, friendly and professional service

Tried the restaurant which has a Michelin star specializing in boiled meats: fantastic experience
There is also a trolley for starters, roasts and desserts.
For the first courses I recommend the ravioli in broth
Upgrade: perfect, tested again and the quality of the product and service is impressively consistent.
For two with appetizer, boiled meats, dessert and wine......128.00 euros

Cena annuale in un ristorante stellato la scelta è caduta su Arnaldo a Rubiera zona Reggio Emilia
Sevizio impeccabile ma lento forse per troppa gente il ristorante era pieno scelto menu degustazione 1. Piatti abbondanti e tipici della zona vini del territorio ma un menu di 1400 etichette vini di qualità. Per finire un infuso digestivo alle erbe

Ero stata qui da bambina coi miei genitori, ahime' ormai svariati decenni fa, ma ho trovato tutto uguale, o quasi. Sara' cambiata la gestione, e certamente saranno cambiati i dipendenti che altrimenti sarebbero ottuagenari e piu', ma, per fortuna, tutto il resto e' inconfondibilmente sempre lo stesso: ambiente, menu e servizio. Molto caratteristico. Abbiamo fatto il percorso piu' classico , da 70 euro, non ricordo il nome, quello piu' tradizionale, ed e' stato ,come previsto, pienamente appagante. Solo il carrello dei bolliti e' talmente godurioso che meriterebbe una visita solo per quello ! Anche il servizio e' ineccepibile. Ci sono state un paio di piccole imperfezioni ( il nostro tavolo che e ' stato pronto solo qualche minuto dopo l'orario della prenotazione, la spugnolata a mio avviso un' po' troppo molliccia...) ma le cito solo cosi',per ricordare che la perfezione non e' di questo mondo, nel caso credeste di essere finiti in paradiso ( gastronomico )
