Pleasant surprise. We discovered the hotel last year while passing through and just to stay overnight. Very simple, clean. This year, while passing through, we stayed and also had dinner at the restaurant. The rooms have been renovated; apart from the bathrooms) very simple but comfortable with two bottles of water available which has never happened in other hotels even with more stars, the restaurant is a warm atmosphere a little retro but tasteful with a menu that left us speechless and delicious: in addition to local specialties, there are also fish and raw dishes. A list of wines with an incomparable choice: whites, reds, champagnes and from different territories. Not to mention the desserts: three placards full of every delicacy. Friendly and helpful staff. It will certainly be our fixed stop along the route of our travels. Thank you

I had dinner with my partner after having waited a long time for this moment and perhaps too much expectation was disappointed. Historic place in Tortona, with a slightly retro 80s location, but which can also be enjoyed. The tables and the distances between them are beautiful. Quick and attentive service, performed with trolleys, something I haven't seen for many years. Good selection of wines, local menu although not very sophisticated I would have expected something more. We took a real plate of raw fish with the addition of some oysters, we had the impression that the 3 types of prawns had no taste of the sea, they seemed to have been washed precisely to remove the taste of the sea, so we didn't like them. The stracotto agnolotti were excellent, certainly the best dish of the evening, while the tagliolini with truffle, artichokes and Montebore tasted only like cheese. The time for desserts arrives... we are presented with 3 carts of each dessert, which I really appreciate, since I have the opportunity to see before ordering. We taste the babà, the tart and a cake with Chantilly. Good but none to leave a good memory. Total bill €150 without receipt which leaves me stunned, we are still at these levels.

Slow and sufficient service. I took a sea bass with potatoes for 20 euros... I asked to replace the potatoes with a bit of mixed salad... they said yes... but at the checkout mixed salad was 5 euros and the potatoes weren't on the plate as requested. I wouldn't go back.
