07/04/2024: Location appointed in the village of Monopoli which works with mass tourism and can be seen... We had dinner ordering 2 fried fish soaked in oil, served worse in a ceramic ovarian, in order to eat it something must fall on the table. It's not normal and yet they charge for the food.... Measly 1pm though. An equally meager portion of a rocket and tomato salad is 3.50 A fries ditto paltry 4.00. A bottle of water TOTAL. 40.00 The post-covid period has certainly caused damage in the catering sector, but the embarrassing thing is that these locations deceive everyone with these junk foods. Astonished

07/04/2024: One of our worst restaurant experiences in all of our long travel lifetime, terrible organization, bad food, crappy wine and the worst customer service on the planet. First: my wife has fatal allergies to dairy and pork protein, it is somewhat hard to find restaurants where she can eat but we thought this would be one. So she ordered mushrooms, polenta and fries and I tried the 'fresh' scampi spaghettone. The spaghettone and the fries came, scampi were from the freezer (even if you put SOME efford into your kitchen, you can get fresh scampi on the market in Bari every day). 'Housewine' was the cheapest supermarket booze. My wife was waiting for her meals for over an hour, they never came (they obviously had served it to other costumers). Finally we decided to pay and leave, they had added her meals (which they had not served) on the bill. Long discussion as the restaurant refused to accept that my wife had not received her order. Finally they took those items from the check. No apologies, no 'scusi', nothing. When I told them (absolutely calmly) after I had paid, I would write according reviews, the owner became super angry and told us to leave. P.s.: the fact, that the owner lied in his response and wanted me to delete my review later on as he wrote this wasn't his restaurant tells everything about this place. My review IS about L'Osteria del Borgo Antico. We have been there on April 1st 2024 about 9 p.m. .

07/04/2024: Despite a beautiful decor, the quality of the dishes is not up to par.... Overcooked meats, uncooked vegetables and barely cooked.... the whole thing is disappointing and the wait is quite long.

02/04/2024: the location is wonderful, a very suggestive old oil mill, shame about some trompe l'oeil of dubious taste. helpful and kind staff honest price and good value for money the house starter is exceptional just a piece of advice, if I may, don't open at 8.15-8.20pm, give those who want to dine earlier or have children the opportunity to eat at 7.30pm too

09/03/2024: Ci siamo arrivati su imbeccata di un amico ma esprimo un parere tiepido in quanto sia l'accoglienza e sia i cibi non spiccavano per una eccellenza. Accolti in maniera se non fredda, diciamo fresca, anche se il personale è stato educato. Il titolare parecchio assente tra i commensali e non guasterebbe a mantenere un rapporto caldo con gli stessi. Il cibo di pesce nella norma e antipasto di polpo piuttosto anonimo. Buon vino foggiano. La location è molto carina. Il tutto ci può stare senza eccessivi entusiasmi. Direi sufficiente
