A place out of time, you sit overlooking the lake, few seats (book), except to organize a reception, but that's another film, you can't get there if you don't know where it is, but it's worth deviating from state road and after 5 minutes on the road you find yourself on the lake shore, in an enchanting place. Abundant and very good dishes. The only flaw, but I don't know if it is, if you are on holiday, are the waiting times, but, with only one man in command, table service, strictly one at a time, and cooking, are done by the same person, it takes patience, but the time spent waiting is repaid by the quality and goodness of the food offered. And then you can calmly chat, watch the stupendous spectacle of nature in front of you and for once, let's leave the frenzy and running in Milan.

This review is late, we were here in June! But since Gianluca definitely deserves feedback, I'm writing our experience now and am convinced that nothing has changed. We were there in the early afternoon and hoped to get something to eat (Tip: Be careful when looking at Google Maps for opening hours if restaurants in Italy are supposed to be open at lunchtime or all day!). Unfortunately, the kitchen was officially already on break and there were only two local women sitting socially with the owner in the dining room. Apparently our hungry looks aroused his pity and he offered to quickly conjure up something for us in the kitchen. We gratefully accepted and - what can I say - it was the best dish we ate on Lake Maggiore. Down-to-earth, freshly prepared, filled pasta pockets with fried fish and a fantastic sauce with capers. No frills, just food the way you would want it prepared on an Italian stove. Gianluca loves what he does and you can taste it! An unforgettable encounter for us, thank you very much Gianluca and best wishes to the two Donne!

Off season dinner became unexpected very nice and authentic :) dining with the lake view and locals was a fantastic experience. Food was good, homemade pasta, fresh salmon and tasteful vegetables. The sir did everything on his own: cooking, serving etc. He shared with us some of his own grown paprikas, grilled kastanjes and local cheese and ham. Great choice of digestives and wine as well! We can recommend :)

Wir kamen am Abend, außerhalb der Saison. Der Gastwirt war sehr freundlich und auch unser sehr großer Hund war sehr willkommen. Wir haben keine gedruckte Speisekarte bekommen, sondern der Gastgeber hat uns etwas empfohlen und wir haben es einfach genommen. Es war sehr schmackhaft, ohne Schnickschnack und sicher keine Fertig-Gerichte. Und der Blick ist natürlich unbezahlbar! Es ist ein bisschen schwer zu finden, es empfiehlt sich, etwas oberhalb auf dem öffentlichen Parkplatz zu parken und die paar Stufen zum See zu Fuß hinunter zu gehen.
