Osteria della Piazza is a small restaurant of the highest quality and with many advantages. A refined but informal place, comfortable tables with the right amount of space between diners, attentive but not pressured service, a menu of a few well-prepared but traditional dishes. An enviable cellar, fair prices. 5 stars on everything, and if it were possible even more! It's really worth taking a trip to this slightly out-of-the-way town just to eat here (and it's not something I write often!). Unfortunately, Osteria della Piazza CLOSES at the beginning of December: the staff moves to a new location, IL PLATANO in Badia Pavese. If the quality remains unchanged it will be a success.

piccolo locale molto carino e curato nella piazza del paese: piatti ben preparati e ben presentati, quindi chef sicuramente molto bravo: personale gentile e cortese. Un grosso neo però: qualità del prodotto scadente: l'orata che ho mangiato era di allevamento intensivo di pessima qualità, la giardiniera scadente.

Small tavern in the center of San Colombano square. Very well furnished, intimate place, with few seats (reservation absolutely necessary), helpful and kind staff! We ate a spectacular truffle risotto (off the menu), perfect cooking and taste, nothing else to add. I would have happily eaten another plate. For an appetizer, a cold cuts platter with giardiniera and for dessert a sponge cake roll with ricotta inside, covered in melted chocolate, also delicious! Really very good wine We will definitely be back!

As a couple we had dinner at this place. Excellent welcome, very calm atmosphere. Modern and sober venue. The dishes we ordered were delicious: cold cuts platter, tagliolini with cuttlefish ink and prawns, sea bass with lemon and vegetables. However, it remains a wine shop and the variety of wines was remarkable. The friendliness of the managers was also pleasant. We hope to be able to return again

Piccolo ristorante con un grande chef. Gianni propone sempre una cucina curatissima e mai banale. Eccezionale cantina supportata dalla brava sommelier Simona. Consigliato.
