Camping Stella Mare In

The first time I stayed here was in 2019, just for a few days. I returned this summer for about ten days with my partner, and it was a wonderful holiday. A campsite for true campers, just the way we like it. The pitch with a sea view is perfect for those who want a camping experience in direct contact with nature. One of the features I love most about this campsite is the direct access to Canata beach, a small, wild and quiet cove where you can also snorkel. The pools (and pitches) are kept very clean. It was a great experience, but at the same time, I was very sad to see the management of the bar change. I fondly remembered it as a less banal and basic bar, with many more vegan options the last time I stayed. The bar staff was not suited to that role: excessively long wait times, disorganization, and general inexperience. It's a real shame there were no vegan and/or vegetarian options, aside from a vegan croissant and salad sandwiches, of course... At night, it's hard to see without a flashlight because the lighting is so minimal. We'll definitely be back, hoping to see a little more attention to detail :)

What was originally planned for three days turned into 14 days, which we spent with our motorhome at the Stella Mare campsite next to Villa Canara! The owners are very friendly and speak German and English. Dogs are also very welcome! We will definitely return to the Stella Mare campsite on our next vacation to Elba!

Great campsite with beautiful terraced pitches and a great, quiet beach towel! Very friendly staff 🤘 The only thing I can only give 3 stars is the sanitary facilities! They were spotlessly cleaned several times a day!!! For me, however, there was far too little light in the evening and in the morning near the sinks, and the mirrors were all opaque 😏 It's not so easy to shave and put in contact lenses 😕 They need to be replaced?! Oh yeah, and unfortunately, there was no soap either 🦠🧐 But we'd love to come back 🙌

A good starting point for outdoor enthusiasts. Perfect for mountain biking.

We were on the campsite with two tents and on the terraces in the second part of the site. This had its advantages and disadvantages: From the terraces, you have a direct view of the bay. However, the path to the washroom and all other facilities is long and sometimes steep. The sanitary facilities were fine. There's also a small shop and a restaurant. You really should make a reservation at the restaurant; we had to wait about 30 minutes even during the week in mid-September. The pizzas looked very good. We had oven-baked calamari, and it was okay. There are also two swimming spots right off the site, which you can walk down to. However, these are rather rocky. The large swimming bay is nicer and can also be reached quickly on foot.

The campsite is located on a beautiful bay with a sandy beach. Plenty of shady spots and very dog-friendly. Thanks to David, the activity guide here, we had unforgettable moments snorkeling, night canoeing, and trekking! Totally reasonable value for money. The only downside was the loud music from the neighboring site until about 11 p.m.

First of all, I love this site and have known it for 25 years, and now comes the BUT: there's a backlog of renovations here, the sanitary facilities are no longer acceptable for this price. Showers are just a trickle that stops after three seconds, blind mirrors, broken locks, no soap in the toilet, etc. Then there's something the campsite can't do anything about but is very annoying: the noise from a neighboring bar. It started every evening and lasted until at least midnight. On our exclusive pitch, it was so loud that we thought the bar was next to us. The campsite's reaction was sad; they had no recourse, and we could always complain to the municipality. No offer to relocate, no friendliness, nothing, more like "it's not nice, we know, but that's your problem." So, and now my last point: negative opinions are often expressed in the reviews here, but the campsite never responds... sad. Despite everything, I gave it four stars because the location, the bays, the little shop, and the bar are fantastic.

The Stella Mare campsite is the perfect place for those who want to unplug from everyday stress and enjoy the view. Suitable for everyone, whether you want to relax in nature or enjoy exercise and sports (included in the price). The staff is always very friendly, helpful, and polite. =) Recommended ✔️

Great location, pitch with direct sea view. A small shop with very friendly staff. The small bay is perfect for swimming, even with a dog. Lovely walks are possible. But the restrooms are awful. While clean, there's no light during the day, no soap, and no toilet seats.

Large campsite. We were lucky to get a spot in September; it was quite full. The organization is great, everything is clean, there are three swimming areas, a pool, and very friendly staff.
