The sunset view from San Domenico is simply breathtaking—one of those views that makes you pause for a moment before ordering, because you realize you're looking at something rare. That alone would be worth the visit. But the cuisine is no exception: the gnocchi with gurnard, snapper, strawberries, and chili pepper are an extraordinary dish—creativity, technique, and Calabrian terroir blend impeccably. Sweet, seafood, spicy. A balance few manage to achieve. The service is top-notch, attentive, and never intrusive. Special mention to Maria Concetta, whose professionalism and warmth made the evening even more enjoyable—the kind of welcome that makes you feel like a guest, not a customer. San Domenico plays in Serie A. One of the best restaurants on the Calabrian coast, without a doubt.

06/08/2026: The food was very good, perhaps a little limited in quantity, but the quality was excellent. The waiters were very kind and gave us the option of choosing where to sit. The location was comfortable, airy, and quiet.

11/08/2026: I dined at this restaurant and the experience was simply perfect from start to finish. The fresh fish was truly delicious, expertly cooked and showcasing the flavors of the sea. Gluten-Free: What can I say about the gluten-free offering? Such care and attention is rare. You can safely order gluten-free, with a wide selection from appetizers to first and second courses, without sacrificing taste or quality. Special praise goes to the entire staff, who are disarmingly kind and attentive to every need and detail. You feel pampered and 100% safe. Excellent value for money. It's hard to find such a high level of freshness, food safety, and service at such fair prices anywhere else. A restaurant absolutely recommended to everyone, and a must-visit for anyone seeking excellent seafood with truly superb gluten-free options.

11/08/2026: I had lunch at Prima o Poi with my girlfriend and we left feeling incredibly satisfied. The raw fish was top-notch, the first course truly delicious, and the second course beautifully done. What really makes the difference, however, is the service: the wait staff was professional, kind, and fast. And with such a good value for money, you couldn't ask for anything better. Highly recommended!

17/08/2026: Tonight, dinner for the first time at this restaurant with its warm, intimate, and very welcoming atmosphere. The dishes, from appetizers to main courses, are superb... traditional seafood cuisine combined with refined flavors, all complemented by impeccable and courteous service. Excellent value for money. What can I say? I highly recommend it.

16/08/2026: Not all jobs are for everyone. This simply shouldn't be theirs. They were rude from the moment we made our reservation by phone, and then continued to make us wait with a small child outside in the heat 35 minutes late for our reservation. If the food matches the quality of the service and hospitality, then it would have been better to leave. Embarrassing.

17/08/2026: It was a real discovery in Altomonte. We had seafood and it was all spectacular, fresh and perfectly cooked. The prices are right! ♥️ One of the best places in the area!

16/08/2026: Ended up here by chance for lunch. Had a delicious meal and the stewed meat is simply superb! And the carpaccio was delicious too!

12/08/2026: I have to be honest...we had read some very negative reviews complaining about the fish not being fresh enough, but luckily we trusted the inviting aroma that could be felt even outside the restaurant, strolling along the Scilla seafront. I'm starting to think the bad reviews were written purely out of spite, and I'm truly sorry because our experience was anything but negative. The restaurant is family-run, and we were warmly welcomed. It's a simple atmosphere, but the food tells a story of passion, hard work, and dedication. The fish is incredibly fresh and local. We had a seafood appetizer that was enough for two, delicious crab ravioli, and the catch of the day. The quality/price ratio is excellent (we paid €35 ​​each), proving that if you know what you're talking about when it comes to restaurants, you don't need frills and extra-luxurious venues. We'd also read about extremely long wait times...we personally arrived at 8:30 PM, so the service was very quick, but I think it's normal and reasonable for places to be crowded during the Ferragosto holiday week; you just need to be a little patient! All in all, a top experience. If we ever have another vacation in Scilla, we'd definitely love to return!

24/08/2026: Excellent dishes and top-quality fish. Very friendly, if somewhat inattentive, staff. I would have preferred a more intimate and elegant atmosphere, but we dined on the outdoor terrace. Perhaps the indoor dining room is nicer.

21/08/2026: We ate divinely. Both the hot and cold appetizers and the first course were exquisite. The one with truffle, squid ink, and pistachio was especially noteworthy. The restaurant is well-maintained, with a stone interior and exposed beams. Everything was perfect.

21/08/2026: We walked in at 8:20 PM without a reservation, and the place was half empty. We asked if a table for two was available. The waitress didn't respond immediately, instead consulting with a colleague who gave her a firm NO, without even asking if I wanted to wait or free up the table at a certain time. It's unfortunate that there was poor communication and a lack of customer loyalty. I won't be returning.

15/06/2026: We stumbled upon it by chance and decided to give it a try...we were pleasantly surprised. The appetizers served one after another were delicious. Everything was fresh and very tasty. I highly recommend it!

01/06/2026: Everything here was delicious. We went a total of three times. 🙂 The young waiter always knew when to show up; he was incredibly friendly. We also got some great treats, olive oil, bread, and some liqueurs and sweet snacks for our departure. My favorite spaghetti with seafood was always delicious. I'll always remember this place with nostalgia and hope to return someday.

The waiter's service was courteous and professional; he recommended a menu based on the catch of the day, leaving us thoroughly satisfied. What impressed me most was the freshness of the fish and the chef's simple yet effective preparation. The bill was also completely fair.

14/08/2026: A delightful dinner at Frantoio, in Soverato Superiore. Refined seafood and meat dishes, carefully prepared with top-quality ingredients. The service was also highly appreciated: the attentive, professional, and always friendly staff were able to discreetly accompany the meal. A truly positive experience in a pleasant atmosphere. Definitely recommended.

11/08/2026: I've rarely eaten such good fish. The lobster spaghetti was sublime. The spaghetti with scampi cream was also very good. The mixed grill and grilled calamari were exceptional. Probably one of the best restaurants in Le Castella and the surrounding area, highly recommended!

27/07/2026: My husband, our daughter, and I had dinner at this restaurant and had a wonderful time. The staff was polite, knowledgeable, and attentive, and immediately put us at ease. The place is charming with soft background music. We had truly delicious fish starters made with quality ingredients, exquisite fried fish, and truly TOP-NOTCH desserts! Everything was perfect, and we'll definitely be back! I forgot...the price was right for what we ate!
