08/05/2024: Located in a rural town about an hour by train from Parma city and about 5 minutes by taxi from the nearest station, this restaurant has been a leader in the Italian cuisine world for many years and is respected by star chefs around the world. No matter when I visit, the food, tableware, service, and space are all sophisticated, and I definitely recommend it among all the ristorantes in Italy. Although the store is difficult to access for tourists, it is well worth it. Foie gras with passion fruit sauce is a must try.

06/05/2024: In Canneto sull'Oglio stands this restaurant which years ago was born as a simple trattoria for a business lunch. Today the Santini family has managed to transform this place into an ultra-luxury and welcoming home like staying with family. The Santinis give more than the best to spoil, pamper the customer, in fact the service, the wines at the location deserve a 10 rating, no imperfections, let alone the kitchen where the three-starred chef Nadia manages the kitchen team with decisive elegance and precision, taste and dishes like an artist also thanks to his travel experiences made in France. Outside the restaurant there is a vegetable garden that Nadia looks after with passion and love. To taste once in your life the tortelli, the eel, the risotto and above all the foie gras.

20/05/2024: Had dinner with the family to celebrate a first communion. Everything was excellent, especially the freshwater fish. Very friendly service. The owner perfectly described the "amari" tortelli (a cuisine specialty) and the ingredients to us.

16/05/2024: Io e la mia amica Sue ci siamo capitate per caso dopo una bella visita a Palazzo Te. Siamo rimaste colpite dall’accoglienza del proprietario, che con squisita ospitalità ci ha messo a nostro agio, offerto una piccola entree della casa (polpettone di carne con salsa di ricotta e pomodoro), consigliato un vino notevole per accompagnare i tortelli di zucca Mantovani e due dessert spaziali! E dato che non riuscivo a finire il mio, non ci sono stati problemi ad impacchettarlo affinché potessi portarlo a casa. Il tutto per meno di 80€ in due. Veramente ottimo e da rivisitare, stavolta andandoci apposta. Non mi meraviglia affatto che abbia ricevuto un Premio Michelin 2024.

06/05/2024: Small but well-kept environment, as much attention is dedicated to the menu, a walk along the lake shore and in the center with lunch in this wine shop which offers excellent platters of cold cuts and cheeses, first courses, second courses and desserts, we had booked riso alla pilota because my daughter is gluten intolerant (not celiac), my wife and I, in addition to the rice, also shared a lasagna with pumpkin cream and taleggio cheese with Mantuan salamella which was delicious, to start we had taken a complete platter, they I also brought gluten-free bread for my daughter, half a liter of Lambrusco and half of Chardonnay, water and a trio of desserts including the famous sbrisolona washed down with passito, corrected coffee, limoncino and licorice at the end, all for 110 euros. We had a good time and ate better, excellent value for money, highly recommended. Reservation required.

06/04/2024: Very positive experience, welcoming place and friendly staff. Obviously specialized in bigoli, of which it offers a wide choice (the pumpkin and sausage ones surprised me, coming from someone who is NOT normally into pumpkin). Fast service, they didn't make a fuss about the (polite) dog, as unfortunately in other places, and in fact they brought her the bowl of water before we even had to ask for it. A small gesture of humanity and affection that we always appreciate very much. Very recommended, I will definitely return when I return to Mantua. Honest prices, not even €40 for two for two glasses of Amarone, a bigolo, a half portion, a dessert, and water.

02/04/2024: Small ice cream shop, overlooking Piazza Broletto in the historic center of Mantua. Very characteristic, clean and tidy. Very kind and helpful owners, very high quality ice cream, also vegan and for those with lactose intolerance. A good number of flavors to choose from (about fifteen), normal price (one flavor is two euros, two flavors are 3..)

21/03/2024: The famous Mantuan cannoncino with chocolate pudding, cream and whipped cream was a waffle with chocolate pudding covered in soggy cream, in short, badly made. I definitely won't go back

04/04/2024: Excellent enoteca and slow food restaurant specializing in Mantuan cuisine with a modern interpretation. Highlights were the pumpkin tortelloni and slow-cooked beef cheeks. Wine was interesting and local.

26/05/2024: Lunch with friends on a cultural tour of Mantua, nice location, good service, young and friendly staff, generous portions and quality raw materials, the pappardelle stracotto ragout is a little too flavoured, the sliced ​​with radicchio is tender and tasty, good the sweets. The overall quality/price ratio is also good, I recommend it.
