28/04/2024: Homemade restaurant... with polite and kind staff...

23/04/2024: Trattoria with home cooking located in Zena among the hills of Bologna. The service wasn't too fast for us, in fact, it may have been the fault of the cooking of the tomawok, but we had to wait quite a while. The homemade pasta is very good, the meats tasty and the mascarpone cream exquisite. Fair price and fair portions.

16/03/2024: Entering that place is always a pleasure. The welcoming atmosphere, the large and clean space makes you immediately feel at ease. The kindness of the staff is palpable from the moment you cross the threshold: genuine smiles and a willingness to satisfy every request. We decide to dine on site this time, attracted by the promise of quality at a reasonable price. And we are not disappointed. The food is really excellent, fresh and tasty, and the bill at the end doesn't bring us to our knees. It's nice to see how a place manages to maintain a good quality-price ratio without compromising the quality of the dishes. The evening ends on a positive note. We appreciated the courtesy of the staff and the goodness of the food, which made dinner a pleasant and satisfying experience. We leave the place with a smile on our faces, happy to have spent time in such a pleasant and welcoming environment. We decide that we will definitely return, because despite the small imperfections, the warmth and attention we received won us over. And so, with the desire to return soon, we leave with the certainty that this place will remain one of our favourites.

21/03/2024: And the usual jokes to those who can't afford it, I see, are repetitive.. perhaps he thinks that those who judge negatively are all in need of his free croissant.. there won't be next time and you accept the opinions of those who do keep it open

23/12/2023: It is one of the few places in Pianoro and surrounding areas that is pleasant, clean with excellent products. Very friendly owners and staff

18/02/2024: In the splendid setting of the Bolognese hills, with a dominant position over the Zena river valley, this magnificent farmhouse breathes a domestic, family atmosphere. Genuine food with ancient flavors. Attentive but very friendly service. Mountainous and therefore welcoming environment that makes you feel at home with friends. Good selection of wines. Angela, the true pivot of the farm, will make you go home with a smile on your face. Thanks to all the staff, we had a really good time.

12/02/2024: An unusual place, a welcoming house with only 5 tables on the veranda. Homemade food, ragù a little too dry, very good bean soup. Good chicken but nothing exceptional, excellent vegetables. The tenerina and mascarpone ice cream are excellent. Worth trying again in summer for the splendid view of the gullies.

15/11/2023: I'm from Naples and I was here on Sunday with some Neapolitan friends who moved to Bologna. Casetta Magli is one of those places that enters your heart and stays there. Located near the gentle and colorful hills of Pianoro, the structure opens with a beautiful terrace overlooking this priceless typical Emilian panorama. The internal environment is warm and welcoming. The owner opens the doors to you as if to an old friend and this is precisely why the menu is a surprise, because as we know, when you go to a friend's house you don't always know what they have prepared for you. This does not mean there is a lack of attention towards those who make certain food choices and for those with allergies. The food was excellent with a mix of dishes expertly combined and never out of theme. I ate very well. It's definitely a place to go. Highly recommended!

16/05/2024: I didn't want to make any comments.... But reading some reviews…. I feel compelled to express mine too modest opinion which without going into details I summarize in a difficult digestion …….from what the owner said in wanting to present a "daily" menu and expressing a concept that those who do not appreciate his catering understand nothing !!!!!! The price, the quality, the local fish and more... come in third place compared to the "elegance" of the owner!!!!!!!

05/05/2024: Once we arrive we compliment the outdoor area next to the car park and the owner tells us that it's not for everyone (and oh well blessed modesty). We ask for explanations on the menu where the first courses were not explained and he gives us a whole speech (which I think is fair) such as that the menu is a guide because it is based on the catch of the day because it is "local" fish. Given our perplexity about the definition of local, he also explains that being originally from Rimini he only uses fish from the Adriatic. And here expectations become important. When asked about the first courses we are told either paccheri with seafood sauce or scampi risotto, of which we take a plate to share so we can eat a barbecue. Explaining that due to health problems my husband is unable to tolerate elaborate but rather simple foods, we ask to have a portion of grilled vegetables to which we are told a firm NO! with the shipping that they are different from everyone else and I don't propose such banal dishes and recommend a side dish from the house. And after this the expectations reach the top. We open with a seafood appetizer and a half to share of which we appreciate only the tuna, prawns without praise without infamy, octopus seasoned with non-evo oil. Indefinable vegetable side dish, perhaps marinated courgettes and aubergines and a very soft gratin tomato. The risotto, even without praise or infamy, revealed some slightly mushy scampi (obviously frozen). But what was disappointing was the grill which wasn't grilled but au gratin! Which obviously my husband didn't even touch, and which consisted of a small sole, a scampi divided in two with mayonnaise, 2 prawns and 2 pieces of cuttlefish on a skewer and 5 anchovies, a Capa Santa the size of a coin, it was so overcooked and frankly for €45 I expected something more. At the end of lunch I explain to the restaurateur that we mean grilled meat but he points out that in Romagna they do it that way and they don't have to explain why because that's how it's done. The problem is that technically we are not in Romagna but I would probably have been wrong in this situation too so I avoided further discussions. Ultimately it could also have quality raw materials (which I haven't seen, however) but knowing how to cook it to justify the price is another matter. Also note the €3.50 cover charge per person for a tablecloth and a basket of tavern bread. The service and the place are good but we need a little more humility and be attentive to customer requests.

14/05/2024: Overall we had a good time, too bad they added two more pizzas to the bill We noticed it by now when we got home, we weren't there to call, some advice for groups, unfortunately it's not the first time, have the bill brought to the table and check it We ate pizza and it was excellent

28/04/2024: delicious food and honest prices. Too bad they are fascists!!! I say this because I heard the owner talking and I was very upset. Know that if you go to eat in this restaurant you are funding people who follow far-right ideals, which is why I will never return despite the excellent food.

02/04/2024: Recommended place. A lunch with an enchanting view, the terrace overlooks Isola Bella. Great food and friendly staff. Booking via the website form simple and fast.

13/03/2024: Siamo state in questo bel ristorante e siamo state benissimo! Abbiamo preso 4 secondi ottimissimi dalla cotoletta alla bolognese, al polletto e alla spalla di maiale al pepe verde. Il servizio gentilissimo e veloce e quindi ve lo consigliamo anche noi torneremo alla prima occasione.
