21/06/2025: My girlfriend and I were looking for an excellent seafood restaurant to celebrate our anniversary and after a while we managed to stumble upon Il gabbiano I already knew this place for various reasons, since it was the place of my baptism and my parents' wedding, let's say that I wanted to return now as an adult and I must say that I left very satisfied Unique and special dishes, fresh and high quality fish, genuine ingredients, the more the merrier The prices are in line with the quality it offers and in fact for what I ordered I thought I would pay much more Furthermore, the restaurant also applied a final discount of €6 on the total, which is not something that everyone does HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

18/06/2025: Awesome place. We came to Positano for our honeymoon and were able to get picked up from our hotel in Fornillo Beach (and back) for free. The food was great - we got the zucchini flowers, the pink sauce pasta, the bolognese and the citrus tiramisu. A great experience for anyone looking to dine outside the typical tourist circuit

15/06/2025: Restaurant recommended by our hotel and did not disappoint. My husband and I enjoyed sea bass and turbot fish dishes which were exceptionally prepared.

10/06/2025: We only came in wanting some tiramisu and the waiter was perfectly happy to serve us only dessert during a busy dinner service. I have an allergy to nuts and sadly the manager informed us that the tiramisu wouldn't be suitable for me, but they then went out of their way to prepare a nut-free version for me - amazing service, so accommodating. We still got a complimentary limoncello after which was lovely. Thank you for a great evening! 10/10 service

04/06/2025: We found out about Villa Claudia through matrimonio.com, we were looking for a location that could accommodate a large number of guests without logistical problems and that could perfectly handle a possible wedding with rain. I remember perfectly that as soon as we arrived at the property for the first time we were struck by the view it offers and by the large porch for the buffet appetizer, perfect in the case of a wet wedding. The room, then, is a real gem, which finally breaks with the rustic environment in which the property is immersed. A location like this, obviously, requires constant and obsessive attention and care for details, and in this the magnificent work of Carmine, Elisabetta and Umberto finds fulfillment, capable every time of dispelling any doubt that always accompanies the newlyweds and of taking care of every aspect of the planning of the event, from the development and timing to the smallest detail in the mise en place. Much appreciated delicious dishes by chef De Angelis, served precisely by the crew of the maitre Salvatore who obsessively took care of the entire event, ensuring that the timing of each moment of the reception was always respected. In short, we have always dreamed of a magical wedding, and Villa Claudia and its staff made it a reality. 12/05/2025: We recently had our wedding reception at Villa Antiche Mura, and it was nothing short of spectacular! The venue exceeded our expectations in every way, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking to get married or host an event in Sorrento. Planning a wedding from England without a planner could have been daunting, but thanks to Michele and Claudia, the entire process was incredibly easy, smooth, and enjoyable. Their communication was 10/10—prompt, efficient, and attentive to the finest details of my requests. Michele was particularly patient as I navigated countless questions and requests when meeting him at the Villa in the days leading up to the wedding. His understanding and support alleviated any stress and reassured me that our day would be perfect, and it truly was! On the wedding day, Michele went above and beyond by arriving at the ceremony venue to assist with my dress preparation and help my bridal party. When my veil got stuck while walking down the aisle, he was right there, saving the day! The Villa itself is breathtaking, and our guests were blown away by the fabulous views. Many of them told us it was the best wedding they had ever attended, a testament not only to the villa's beauty but also to the incredible team that makes it all possible. When my husband and I arrived at the villa, Michele greeted us with a refreshing glass of water—such a thoughtful gesture that showed his experience in handling weddings, especially in the heat. The decorations were set up perfectly, addressing my previous concerns as I personally transported all the decor from the UK. Every detail was executed flawlessly, even better than I could have achieved myself. We also booked the food through the Villa, and it was hands down the best we’ve ever tasted! As frequent diners at fine restaurants, we can confidently say the food at Villa Antiche Mura topped them all. The catering team even accommodated last-minute dietary requests from some of our guests without any fuss. The entertainment was phenomenal as well! We booked a band, a violinist, and a saxophonist through the villa, and they were incredibly talented. Our guests were thoroughly entertained throughout the entire day and evening, with many enjoying themselves so much that nobody left early! The entire team, especially Michele and Claudia, ensured that everything ran like clockwork. They thought of the little touches that made our day even more special, creating a seamless experience for us. Thank you so much to everyone at Villa Antiche Mura for your hard work and dedication in making our dream wedding come true! If you are considering a wedding venue, look no further—you will not be disappointed!

26/05/2025: È sempre difficile arrivare a un giudizio definitivo in ristoranti di questa fascia. Difficile che possa piacere tutto, difficile che possa convincere tutto, difficile comprendere alcune scelte. Il finger food iniziale può essere un mood simpatico per iniziare ad approcciare le tendenze e le vocazioni dello chef, se non fosse che si finisce per perdersi e confondersi tra 101 sapori e profumi diversi, alcuni gradevoli, a tratti esplosivi, altri più anonimi e direi quasi inutili. Stesse sensazioni poi con le pietanze al piatto. Troppe portate. Ci si confonde e ci si dimentica quasi tutto. D’altronde è il ricordo che lascia a fare grande un ristorante. Sapidità a volte eccessive, come nella signature, lo spaghetto allo scoglio con bisque di oltre 50 pesci, in cui si esalta più la sapidità che il suo stesso concentrato di mare. Ma d’altronde sono scelte, discutibili o meno, come quella di prediligere in maniera energica il tocco francese trascurando invece quasi del tutto il territorio. Ai dolci poi si arriva ad un trionfo di vanità, puntando più sul “wow” delle giocose presentazioni che sulla sostanza sia della grande che piccola pasticceria. Insomma più bassi che alti, da un ristorante di questo calibro ci si sarebbe aspettato qualcosa in più (a voler essere generosi), magari con una maggiore sintesi, poiché come in tutte le cose, il troppo stroppia.

25/04/2025: Location bellissima, piccola e spettacolare . Abbiamo pranzato il lunedì dell' Angelo e ci siamo trovati benissimo.Un giardino bello e curato dove sotto l' ombra del magnifico Pepe ,abbiamo sorseggiato, in un' atmosfera di Pasquetta di altri tempi un buon aperitivo.All' interno la struttura è elegante e raffinata ma soprattutto un personale cordiale che ha esaudito tutti i capricci dei nostri bimbi. Pezzo forte è il cibo con ingredienti di ottima qualità e con preparazioni molto particolare nella loro semplicità. Ci siamo trovati benissimo e ritorneremo sicuramente.

Everything was perfect, the food was delicious, even for vegetarians and vegans, everything was truly delicious, from the starter to the dessert, everything was taken care of down to the smallest detail. 27/04/2025: Locale accogliente e ben tenuto. Piatti davvero interessanti sia nella scelta della carne che del pesce e ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Notevole sottolineare il cameriere che nn scrive alcuna comanda e che ricorda tutto a memoria. Davvero da provare.

05/03/2025: Ho prenotato in questo ristorante per le 19 chiamando direttamente il ristorante, appena arrivati ci hanno detto che era troppo presto e di accomodarci da soli al tavolo senza nemmeno chiederci se volevamo dell’acqua. Dopo aver aspettato mezz’ora mentre loro mangiavano al tavolo affianco vengono a “prenderci” l’ordine senza segnarsi nulla, successivamente ci portano il vino sbagliato, l’acqua non a temperatura ambiente come avevamo chiesto ed un primo sbagliato, insomma non hanno azzeccato nulla. Personale incompetente e cibo mediocre

22/05/2025: Wonderful restaurant, attention to detail, excellent service, very kind staff.... my husband and I opted for the first courses which were truly superb.... homemade pasta, in harmony with sauces prepared on the spot and super generous portions.... the potatoes sautéed in a pan with onion were also excellent... we will be back as soon as possible
