Historic venue in the Chiaia area. We ate reasonably well, the environment is typical of an old-style restaurant, it immediately seemed very touristy but given the location we wanted to stop. The thing we liked least was the service, very hasty.

Excellent restaurant, friendly and professional staff like Stefano and Corrado. Prepared and very attentive to gluten-free, with abundant and superlative dishes. Same service also for dishes with gluten, excellent experience. Family Fabio

Typically Italian, a lot of locals were present, the food was great as was the dessert (cheesecake). A parking space is available and is subject to a charge (not part of the restaurant).

We had lunch there one afternoon and it was very good. Welcoming and professional staff, we were served quickly which is not negligible for lunch. The restaurant is welcoming and clean. I recommend without hesitation if you are passing through Chiaia.

We didn’t have a reservation but turned up at 7:30pm after it soon opened and was warmly welcomed and seated in a beautiful corner. The service was professional, sincere and we felt very much at home. Environment was cosy, warm and colourful and we sipped our drinks whilst feeling relaxed with the light music. Our food was excellent in presentation, taste delicious and reasonable sized portion ( meaning not too enormous)…. Besides the bill was value for money…. Reasonable and together with the service and environment, definitely well worth it. Truly had a memorable evening in Naples at Umberto, feeling it is truly recognised as an Institution and a must for your visit to Naples!

Ci piace questo ristorante! Pesce fresco, sia all'acqua pazza che al forno con patate. Ottima la bufala. Personale molto gentile.

Non si può definire storico perché esiste dagli inizi del 900. Il servizio è molto gentile ed efficiente, meglio andare a pranzo che a cena perché è più affollato. La qualità del cibo è buona, i prezzi sono medio alti, i servizi igienici sono tenuti molto bene.

21/03/2024: One of the best places that we had dinner on the Amalfi coast. The sunset views of the blue sea, while having dinner are mind-blowing. The service is amazing and the food beyond delicious. The location is unbeatable near a small town called Masa Lubrense.
08/03/2024: Will pay a visit in a week or so. Was there five years ago, rented a room for the night, ordered bubbly, saw the sunset, Capri and Vesuvius, later had a good dinner in the amazing restaurant anno 1902.
